> be me
> hear about satellite tv and the 1000s of channels in the air to grab for free
> plug in satellite, get hotbird 13e, astra 19e, eutelsat 9e
> put on wedo sports in the middle of the day and see a bunch of ppl doing sports
> put on wedo sports at 2:30 in the morning and it's eva notty getting fucked
> i clean my eyes, restart the tv to confirm
> softcore pawn continues for 5 hours, starts again the following night at the same time window
> learn that certain FTA channels lend their night time viewing to adult chat services and pawn
> go to sat forums to ask about other channels but the forums are ded

does /wsr/ know of any other FTA channels on hotbird 13e, astra 19, eutelsat 9 that act normal during the day, then turn into a brothel past midnight? for science!

to those who come after, here's some channels i've identified that do similar things:
> comedy central (astra 19)
> polonia 1 (hotbird 13).

Well
>hear about satellite tv
There's your problem. I didn't even know that was still a thing, haven't heard it mentioned in a decade. Last time I saw someone with a satellite TV, they were recording stuff with a VCR

but ... it's free pawn! i didn't think people would lose interest hunting for that.
also there's something lewd and salacious about a normal channel switching to this past midnight, and i really want to hoard more of these magic transponders.

Well you did tempt me to try such a setup. But the Google I threw down suggested the equipment I need to look for this free porn isn't free. Also I don't stay up all night, so I'd need to buy a VCR?

i set up the dish myself for the experience. in total it cost me less than $120 for 4ft dish + set of lnbs + cable + switch, but i was trying to max out the dish usage by receiving as many satellites as possible, which you may or may not want to do.
it took me weeks to get everything the way i wanted, fine-tuning an array of lnbs for best reception can be a bitch. but after all that, i'd say it was worth it for the learning experience alone (and the 2000+ channels of absolute randomness). there's stuff you may like during the day also, like 4k nature footage / sport / racing / mtv and comedy central streams.

im still looking for the magical lewd night-time channels anons. hoping some experience satellite wizard can point me to the right set of channels that have what i want.

Sounds nice. But I don't know where you were buying, but my surface level Googling suggests that stuff would cost me like a grand. I'll just torrent to get my TV and porn for free

provided you have a tv with a built in receiver. it shouldn't be that expensive:
> 4ft dish = $95
> 1 or 2 lnbs = $9-20
> 50ft co-ax cable = less than $10

the rest is research on Lyngsat for the available FTA sats in your region, and an afternoon to IKEA the dish and point it.

I looked into it the other day and it sounds like FTA satellite is not much of a thing in North America.

Which continent are you on?

>4ft dish = $95
The cheapest 4ft dish I could see was on AliExpress for $200 + $100 shipping and it looked like crap. Local retail options looked to start in the $700+ range. Even Craigslist just had people with useless Direct TV dish's that they're asking $150-$200 for
>>
>>1574531
yeah it depends on where you live. i could find some on amazon.com between $100-200. anyway dish size isn't everything. if you're in an area with good reception or if you're aiming at a satellite with good EIRP value you can do with 3ft or even 2ft dish.
