I'm looking for music to use in a d&d campaign using the system in the pic. It is essentially sci-fi fantasy d&d with the aesthetic of retro 80's-90's. Mostly looking for stuff either from those periods, synth heavy stuff, synthwave, and any other sci-fi tracks that happen to fit the vibe of this for battle tracks, ambient music, or whatever else might be cool

Try the .dot Hack soundtrack as well as the BGM selections. They have a good RPG feel. Another choice is the Ragnarok Online soundtrack of the actual music used in the game.

dot Hack (also spelled .Hack)

Those songs from the Ragnarok Online soundtrack were actually used in the game maps. So it's not like they are random melodies being relabeled as appropriate for gameplay maps.
