It's surprisingly normal, but there are people who are too "social" and I don't know how to engage with them.I know I'm going to be forced to engage because we have a similar interest.I also see people getting dragged into cringe arguments I want no part in and wouldn't know how to disengage if I somehow got roped into it. One exception is if you get into some specific hobby (that is not just watching anime in general or playing video games in general) and get decent enough at it. That gives you something to talk about without suddenly trying to break into a circlejerk chatting on its own wavelength for years.
How normal is it to reveal your real first name on 'cords? I've been an anonymous guy and don't have a stable nickname so I figured I might just use my first name.
