With all the news floating around about age verification making it so you can't even sign in to your computer without giving some creepy tech corporation your ID by next year, I want to hoard as much as I possibly can before January 1st. I recognize I'm really late to the party, but I just didn't (and still don't) have the finances to go all-in. I'm only doing this because I can't possibly wait any longer.
What is the best way to get as many vidya, movies, books, manga, etc. as possible? Currently, I have:
>older PC with 4tb of storage that I need to find a way to stuff more space into, preferably 10+tb. I don't really know how to tell what's compatible with my motherboard though.
>modded 3ds with 256gb of space (already accounted for, just listing for completeness)
>unmodded wii I need to mod and buy a good sd card for, but no TV to play it on
>unmodded switch I need to mod and buy a good sd card for
>some cheap ass modded Kobo e-reader I can't add more storage to, but can fit some ebooks into (already accounted for, just listing for completeness)
What else should I get? I'm considering a PS Vita, but I don't know how good of an idea that is. Are there any other good, preferably handheld, consoles I can stuff a ton of vidya into? Where can I find the cheapest, decent quality, non-counterfeit storage that will last a good while, both sd and hdd? My budget isn't very high. I have maybe $500-600 at most I can spend.

Have you not been paying attention to the news? America is looking for to ban piracy. And yes, that is actually possible to accomplish. Fuck Donald Trump and his land of the free for the rich

For a Wii a huge SD card isn't ideal. You can play games off it, but playing even with the cheapest thumb drive slapped in the USB port is better. Ideal is a good brand SD card of basically any size, 32GB is almost absurd for the emulators and roms you'd store on it. All disk images should be in the back, a 500GB external HDD will hold every good Wii/GameCube game with ample space to spare. You can probably get an affordable external HDD if you build it yourself. Buy a HDD enclosure from AliExpress for <$5, then skim eBay for used laptop HDDs. You don't need a SSD, there's little point, and do not buy unbranded cheap HDDs from China, you want anything SanDisk/Seagate/Toshiba

it'd be better to just stop consuming.

Nah. Before the internet was a thing, people traded music and sold it.

It might slow it down a bit, but trading thumb drives and P2P will take its place.

PC wise search "used enterprise hard drives". these are refurbished mechanical drives that businesses have no more use for. you can get a shitload of capacity on them for half what you would pay new.

if you need them to be external just buy sata to usb adaptors that have their own power supply, these are really cheap. you can make drive housing with any crap as long as it's ventilated, just find an old cardboard box and cut and fold it into shape with scissors and tape. or if you're careful enough just leave the drive/s as is on the desk.

nand ssd is a rip off right now, so mechanical refurbished is my best advice.

Right now?
I spend the last year thinking about it and am more of TV guy
So i decided to set up a "netflix" for family and friends
Short workflow
>copy all movies and shows you can find
>build PC to encode in netflix standard (not necessary but it will save a lot of fucking time and space)
>build Server to share all copies with everyone
From there you can expand the Server, matrix, gaming emulation etc.

Sorry
>you can find
Means ask anyone you know if they have DVDs or bluray (i know people with literally bookshelves full of movies and shows)
>all copies with everyone
The once who shared
Also there still are DVD renting services online, kinda cool if you ask me
In the end sharing is caring on another level
