If you're a furfag, the FVN (furry visual novels) scene has lots of picks. A lot of them are gay and/or contain porn. I recommend 9:22, you can find it for free on itch. Echo is also very popular. Remember The Flowers, Campo Largo, Soulcreek... The rabbit hole only goes deeper

Seconding Katawa Shoujo, one of the OG western-made classics. Free too.
I recommend getting it from the official site (katawa-shoujo.com), the Steam version has some content cut unless you apply a patch.
