On May 6th, 1993, the bodies of three murdered eight year old boys were recovered from a small creek in West Memphis, Arkansas. They were nude and bound by their own shoelaces. Three different styles of knots were used to tie the boys (one on each victim), which many believe indicated the work of three perpetrators. Eventually three local teenagers - Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelly - would be tried and convicted of the crime. Collectively they are referred to as The West Memphis Three or WM3.Almost immediately some people expressed doubts about the teens convictions. They typically focused on three areas: the idea that the police focused on the three at the exclusion of other suspects (arguably true), that police lead/coerced the mentally impaired Jessie Misskelly into making a false statement (subjectively true), and that the teens were targeted because they wore black, listened to Metallica, and were victims of "Satanic Panic" (objectively a vast oversimplification and largely false). After attracting more supporters including Hollywood celebrities like Johnny Depp and Peter Jackson, the three were released in 2011 on an Alford plea (allowing them to maintain their innocence while acknowledging the state has enough evidence to convict them). As of 2025 evidence from the crime was being retested, but no results have yet been made public. THE VICTIMSAll three victims were 8 years old. They were Steven "Stevie" Branch, who lived with his mother Pam Hobbs and stepfather Terry Hobbs, Chris Byers, who lived with his mother Melissa Byers and stepfather John Mark Byers, and Michael Moore, who lived with is parents Dana and Todd Moore.
>>42427379BACKGROUND ON WEST MEMPHIS- West Memphis had a population at the time of around 28,000, of which roughly 25% lived below the poverty line. Violent crime was significantly higher than the national average. The town was still recovering economically from a violent tornado in 1987. The cheap motels next to the interstate just outside of town were known to be places where drugs and child phonography were bought and sold. At the time of the murders the West Memphis Police Departments drug unit was embroiled in a corruption scandal with multiple officers accused of skimming money, drugs, and guns from seized assets. On January 16th of 1993, officer Clark White was murdered in his home over a drug debt.
>>42427381EVENTS OF MAY 5TH, 1993After school on May 5th, the boys rode bikes around their neighbourhoods together in the early evening hours. All three boys were known to play frequently in two wooded areas in West Memphis - one called Robin Hood Hills, and the nearby Blue Beacon Woods (so named as it was a small wooded area behind the Blue Beacon Truck Wash). It was in the Blue Beacon Woods where their bodies would be found the next day. There were multiple sightings of the boys throughout the neighbourhood between 5 and 6:30 pm, some of which contradict others. David Jacoby (who will come up later) reported seeing the three ride by his house. Three witnesses said they saw four boys entering Robin Hood Hills around 6:30 pm, while Dawn Moore, the older sister of Michael, reported seeing him and Stevie enter the woods at the same time, and said she didn't see Chris Byers at all. Other sightings place the boys in the company of Terry Hobbs at the Hobbs family home as late as 6:30 pm, something he vehemently denies. Below is a rough timeline:3:30 pm- Stevie Branch last seen alive by his parents5:30 pm- Chris Byers last seen alive by his parents6:00 pm- Michael Moore, Chris Byers, and Stevie Branch last seen alive by Michael's mother Dana Moore6:30 pm- Approximately the last eyewitness sighting of the three boys alive8:10 pm- Chris Byers officially declared missing9:24 pm- Michael Moore declared missing9:25 pm- Stevie Branch declared missingMAY 6th1:45 pm- Body of Michael Moore is dislodged from a drainage ditch in Blue Beacon Woods3:55 pm- All three bodies are found and removed from the ditch by the WMPD. Coroner arrives to examine the bodies.
>>42427383INJURIES TO THE VICTIMS- The main wounds that the victims sustained were to their heads, where they suffered multiple fractures, contusions, and abrasions. - The medical examiner believed two different types of blunt objects caused the trauma, each with a different width. He was unable to pinpoint exactly what those objects could have been.- Michael Moore had 63 specified injuries, Chris had 62, and Stevie had 21.- In addition to trauma to the head, the boy’s bodies were covered in lacerations, scratches, bruises, and trauma. Chris was degloved, if not entirely castrated and the side of Stevie’s face was gouged with half-moon shaped wounds, in addition to other strange patterns. There were also injuries and bruises to the ears. The ultimate cause of death for Chris was ruled as multiple injuries, while Michael and Stevie had died both of their wounds and of drowning.- There is speculation that some of the lacerations were human bite marks and/or the result of animal predation after the victims were placed into the water (snapping turtles or carnivorous fish).
>>42427386PHYSICAL EVIDENCE- Little physical evidence of value was found, mostly because the victims had been submerged in water which washed away or contaminated evidence.- Probable semen stain on the pants of one victim though it is too contaminated by mud and water to be tested. - Blue candle wax found on one victim's shirt, blue candle wax also found on a book belonging to Damien and a blue candle found in possession of Domini Teer. It cannot be proven that the wax found on the victim was from that exact candle, however.- Fiber matching evidence related to the case was hotly disputed and highly subjective and ultimately worthless.- A knife found in John Mark Byer's possession tested positive for blood in the same haplogroup as both Byers and his stepson Chris. This haplogroup contains roughly 8% of the human population, it has never been retested with more modern testing methods.- A pendant found in Damien's possession tested positive for blood in the same haplogroup as both Jason Baldwin and victim Stevie Branch. Like the Byer's knife blood, this haplogroup contains roughly 8% of the human population, it has never been retested with more modern testing methods.- Several hair fragments were found at the scene. None of these fragments have root ends so they cannot be used for complete DNA testing. One hair was similar to both Damien Echols and David Jacoby, but also around 7% of the human population. Another was similar to Terry Hobbs and only 1.5% of the human population. However this is not the smoking gun evidence that some people claim. Firstly 1.5% of the population still includes roughly 450 people in the West Memphis area, and secondly because the victims had frequently been in the Hobbs home its entirely possible the hair was an innocent transfer. Finally there was also an unidentified Negroid hair fragment found at the scene.- Bottom line is that there is no solid physical evidence connecting the crime to the WM3 or anyone else.
>>42427390CLOTHING ODDITIES- In the same drainage ditch where the victims were found, their clothing was also found, having been wrapped around sticks that were then jammed into the mud at the bottom of the water.- Five socks and two pairs of underwear were missing. The police did locate all three of boys pants, two of which were inside out and buttoned. The shirts found did not match what the boys were supposed to be wearing. Both Chris and Stevie were wearing white long sleeved shirts that day, while one shirt recovered had surf-board designs and another had black and white polka-dots. Michael's Cub Scout shirt was the only shirt found at the crime scene that matched what he was last seen wearing.- The clothes were devoid of blood and showed little sign of struggle, meaning that the boys either undressed themselves or were stripped by the killers before they were attacked and tied.- Michael Moore was clutching the fibers of a blanket in his hand. Why or where that blanket came from has never been determined.WHAT WAS THE TIME OF DEATH?- The medical examiner initially placed the time of death between 1 and 5 am. - Another pathologist disputed the findings of the medical examiner and placed the time of death between 6 and 9 pm. WERE THEY KILLED BY THE CREEK, OR WAS IT JUST THE DUMP SITE?- Jessie's confession places the murders as taking place near the creek, though over the years many have argued that the boys were killed elsewhere and then dumped in the creek.- Luminol, a chemical which glows in reaction to human blood, reacted to a grassy area next to the creek. This grassy area was described as wet as though it had been splashed with creek water. - However, in addition to human blood, luminol also reacts to some kinds of animal blood, human and animal feces, some kinds of household and automotive chemicals, some kinds of plant matter, and tobacco smoke residue. It is likely for this reason that the luminol evidence was never introduced at trial.
>>42427393Jerry Driver- Juvenile officer with the West Memphis Police Department. Immediately believed Damien had done it when he learned of the murders. - Had a longstanding fixation on Damien. Due to his violent behavior this is understandable, but some of Driver's conclusions were extreme. For example, he examined a picture drawn by Damien (showing four gravestones, a small fire with bones in it, and smoke drifting across the moon) and interpreted it to mean that Damien and Domini were planning to sacrifice their unborn child to Satan.- Despite his willingness to believe in an active and dangerous Satanic cult in the West Memphis area, did not believe that the cult leader nicknamed Lucy or Lucifer was a real person. - Later moved to Florida where he was convicted of grand larceny.
>>42427395CULT EVIDENCE- Teenager named Murray Farris was interviewed as part of the investigation. He claimed to be part of a group of white witches who did not believe in harming anyone. Damien was on the fringes of this group. Farris described Damien's ex girlfriend, Deanna Holcomb, as a black witch. - Jerry Driver and his assistant both had sources who named 7 to 10 members of a satanic cult, who named all of the WM3 as members. Somewhat complicating the issue is that there was another person in West Memphis named Jason Baldwin who was also rumored to be cult connected, and in some interviews, its unclear which Jason Baldwin is being referred to. - Steve Nawojczyk, an expert on gangs and cults from Little Rock was called into West Memphis in 1992 by Jerry Driver after Driver became concerned about increasing reports of cult activity. Nawojczyk identified graffiti in an abandoned West Memphis school as sophisticated and pointing to something more intricate than mere dabbling in the occult. - In 1991 Nawojczyk worked on the murder of 14 year old Amy Childree in Lonoke County Arkansas. Amy was ritualistically tortured and murdered in a cemetery by Bryan Harp (31), Phillip Seigrist (15), and her own brother Nathan Childree (16). Harp was inducted into Satanism by a woman named Brenda Green, described as the ringleader of the group.- Before the Childree murder was solved, Jerry Driver had questioned Damien about it.
>>42427396Damien Echols- Had previously expressed both suicidal and murderous thoughts.- Had been institutionalized several times.- Had once tried to gouge someone's eyes out during a fight.- Sucked blood from a fellow patient's wrist while institutionalized. - Had expressed varying degrees of interest in both "white" and "black" magic throughout his life, numerous people claimed he was a member of a cult active in the West Memphis area.- Was know to associate with a group of self-described white witches who quickly distanced themselves from him after his arrest. - No alibi for the time of the murders, tried to manufacture one. - Three girls who knew him said he confessed to them at a softball game. - A witness who knew him said she saw both him and his girlfriend Domini walking near an access road near the murder site at around 9:30 pm the night of the murders, and that he was covered in mud. - Has told many provable lies over the years about his activities around the time of the murders and his time in prison.- Blew kisses to the families of the murdered children during his trial.- Was a member of Ordo Templi Orientis.
>>42427398Jason Baldwin- Had a minor criminal record, but not for any violent offences.- Was offered a plea deal in exchange for testifying against Damien that likely would have seen him paroled in ten years, but refused to take it.- Least "cult connected" of the three accused, not known to have interest in the occult, and fewer people accused him of being affiliated with a cult than Damien and Jessie.- Tried to give away several knives he owned immediately after the murders. - A knife was found in a pond directly behind his trailer, although it yielded no forensic evidence. Some claim that three pins on the bottom of the knife (where a compass was removed) match to wounds on one victim's face/head, although this is subjective.
>>42427401Jessie Misskelly- Had a minor criminal record.- Rumored to belong to the same cult as Damien. - Much has been made of his low intelligence, with some sources describing him as mentally retarded or impaired, and the police supposedly manipulating him into a confession. While his IQ places him in the lower end of the normal range, he is not mentally impaired. - Initially told police that he heard that Damien and Robert Burch had killed the boys. - Confessed repeatedly to the crime even after his lawyer advised him not to.- Told his lawyer of a location where he had thrown a specific brand of whiskey bottle during the crime, bottle later found exactly where he said it would be.- Inconsistencies in his confession that changed over time. For example, he initially said that the murders took place in the morning and that the victims had skipped school that day which was proven to be untrue. - Claimed that Damien raped one of the boys, this is not true as none of the victims showed evidence of anal rape.- Cast Jason as the initial aggressor and more violent one in the attack, not Damien. - Said that Byer's genitals were cut with a knife before this was common knowledge, though some argue that this portion of questioning was leading. - Stepmother testified that in the nights after the murders he woke up hysterical and crying.
>>42427402Domini Teer- Damien's pregnant girlfriend at the time of the murders.- Multiple witnesses named both her and her mother as being heavily involved in the occult and Satanism.- Allegedly told her probation officer that both she and her mother drank blood, later denied saying this.- Claimed that Damien was introduced to witchcraft by an older woman who has never been named (not Deanna Holcomb). - An adult witness who knew Damien said she saw both him and Domini walking near an access road near the murder site at around 9:30 pm the night of the murders, and that Damien was covered in mud. - Her cousin Tammy in California published an underground magazine called Secret Order of the Undead (SOUND). The 1991 edition featured a drawing of a winged demon molesting a woman, a list of 13 songs "suitable to accompany any ritualistic murder" and a column instructing children on how to build a homemade land mine. - Her mother, Dian, claimed to have no knowledge whatsoever about the occult, but under cross-examination she admitted that she was well-read about the occult, that she'd loaned Echols books about witchcraft, and displayed an intermediate understanding of runic languages.
>>42427406John Mark Byers- Had a criminal record for drug related offences.- Admitted to beating Chris with a belt buckle the day he died.- High ranking freemason and police informant.- Initially expressed concern that the murders were related to his activities as police informant. - Had all of his teeth removed in the mid 90s and gave inconsistent reasons as to why.- Among supporters of the WM3 was the main suspect until the mid 2000s when focus shifted to Terry Hobbs.- Initially believed in the WM3's guilt, but at some point changed his mind in the 2000s. Damien would also write him a letter from prison apologizing for accusing him.
>>42427411Terry Hobbs- Had a criminal record for breaking into the home of a neighbor and groping her in the shower.- Has told inconsistent stories about the night of the murders through the years, got friend David Jacoby to manufacture an alibi for him.- Accused by his ex-wife and other family members of being a child molester, though he has never been charged with any crimes related to this.- Had all of his teeth removed in the mid 90s. - Observed doing laundry late at night on the night of the murders.- In a police interview in 2007, Hobbs claims to have seen a photograph of Damien in Hobbs' home sitting on his couch with Chris, Michael, and Steve, seemingly contradicting the claim that Hobbs and none of the boys knew Damien. He claims that John Mark Byers has also seen the photo and seems to indicate that it's in the possession of police detective Gary Gitchell.- Around that time Hobbs told John Mark Byers that he believed that his ex-wife Pam knew Damien, smoked weed with him and invited him into their home, and that's why she "went crazy" after the murders.
>>42427414LG Hollingsworth- Domini Teer's cousin.- He was seen at a laundromat the night of the murders where he asked his aunt to give him Domini's phone number. He later begged her not to tell people about this.- Some sources also have him as washing muddy clothes in the laundromat that night, others dispute this as a rumor. - Damien described LG as weird, and named him in his police interview as someone he thought could have committed the crime. He said he'd had a falling out with LG when LG suggested they swap girlfriends for a night (this would have paired LG with his own cousin.)- In the days after the murders he was seen to be in possession of a small box that smelled horrible. He told his family members not to go near it.- The weekend after the murders LG left town in the company of a 49 year old non-denominational preacher named Richard Simpson. They stayed overnight in Memphis and Simpson bought drinks for the underage LG. He returned without the box.- Simpson told police that LG was at his home on the night of May 5th, but after failing a polygraph, admitted he lied at LG's request. - At the time of the murders Richard Simpson was hosting a Hungarian architect, Laszlo Benyo. Benyo was in America for seven weeks as part of a Soros foundation (yes, that Soros) program that enabled him to learn about American culture and architectural traditions.- Benyo was never considered in any way to be a suspect in the crime, but in yet another example of absolutely no one even peripherally involved in the case being able to keep their story straight, he first told police that he heard of the murders on the evening of May 6th when Simpson brought them up, but later said he'd been out of town when he heard about them. - LG died in a car accident in October 2001.
>>42427420James Kenny Martin- Convicted child molester who volunteered his "services" to the WMPD to help them understand the mind of someone who would commit such a crime. Compared himself to Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the lambs.- Martin's theory was the murderer was someone the boys knew and trusted, and that tying them up was part of a game he convinced the boys to play.- Has changed his alibi for the afternoon and evening of the murders over the years, though work records have him starting his night shift at a market at 10 pm.- Martin failed two polygraph questions: Do you know what was used to tie up those three boys? and, Do you know who killed those three boys? Note that these are the only two questions he failed, it can be safely assumed that "Did you kill those three boys?" was asked, and he must have passed if it was not mentioned as a failure.
>>42427423Brian Holland and Christopher Morgan- Roommates in their 20s. Morgan previously worked as an ice cream truck driver, selling ice cream to neighbourhood children. Admitted to knowing the Hobbs family.- Days after the murders they both left West Memphis and moved to Oceanside, California. - Oceanside police asked them if they would take polygraph tests, and they agreed. According to the examiner, their charts indicated deception when asked whether they were involved in the murders.- They were interrogated over two days, where they both denied any involvement in the murders. Eventually Morgan offered what he later claimed was a "sarcastic confession" where he said he blacked out and killed the three boys but had no memory of it.- Morgan was called to testify at Damien and Jason's trial but evoked his fifth amendment rights not to testify.
>>42427424David Wren and Michael Wren- Twin brothers involved in the drug trade.- Named by numerous people as being "capable" of committing the murders, one claimed that it was their initiation into the cult.- David Wren was working as an informant for the WMPD.Robert Burch- Another West Memphis teen rumored to be a cult member. Associated with Damien Echols.- Named by Jessie Misskelly as committing the murders with Damien.- Friends with the other Jason Baldwin. The Other Jason Baldwin- West Memphis rumored cult member.- Confusion in some police reports as to which Jason Baldwin was being referred to.- Close with Robert BurchBuddy Lucas- Friends with LG Hollingsworth- Mother claimed he came home with blood on his shoes the night of the murders.- An in-depth theory which will be discussed in a later post has Lucas, Hollingsworth, Terry Hobbs and David Jacoby as the murderers.
>>42427426"Mr. Bojangles"- Black man with his arm in a cast who appeared disoriented and entered the bathroom of Bojangles Restaurant in West Memphis on the night of May 5th. Bled all over the bathroom and left behind a pair of sunglasses. - The sunglasses and blood samples from the bathroom were taken by the WMPD, both were lost while in police custody.- The man has never been identified. "Lucifer" aka "Lucy"- Multiple witnesses described him as a man who was a cult leader in West Memphis. He was almost always described as a heavyset blonde man in his 30s who drove an off-white van and lived outside of West Memphis.- Domini even claimed that Damien knew him, saying that once while they were walking together Damien said "there goes Lucy" as a white van drove by.- Was never located or identified, Jerry Driver did not believe he existed.
>>42427430Vickie & Aaron Hutchison- Vickie Hutchison was a single mother in her 30s whose son, Aaron, was friends with victims Chris Byers and Michael Moore.- Aaron told police that himself, Chris, and Michael would frequently play in the woods behind the Blue Beacon Truck Wash.- Aaron said that multiple times while there they spied on men who did "nasty stuff" "like what men do with women."- He initially described the men as a mixed group of black and white adults, later stories would evolve to include teenagers and men who spoke Spanish.- Aaron said that Chris and Michael told him not to tell anyone what they had seen. He told police that he thought that Chris and Michael had taken Stevie to spy on the men, and they had been caught and killed.- He later changed his story and claimed to be present when the three boys were killed by the WM3, but that they had let him go. - He later changed his story again, claiming that John Mark Byers had also been present and had killed the boys.- A tape recording of Aaron saying "no one knows what happened that day except me" was played for Jessie Misskelly during his police interview, which provoked him into confessing.- Because Aarons story kept changing he was never called to testify.- When Aaron got older, he said that he doubted he had witnessed the murders, and that his mind was mixed up due to trauma.- Psychiatrists who examined him at the time of the murders stated that he was traumatized, and at least one believed he was being ritually abused. cont.
>>42427435cont- Vickie attempted to help police by befriending Jessie Misskelly to gather information. She claimed that Jessie took her to a "witches esbat" in the woods where Damien and numerous other people were present, but she became frightened and asked to leave.- A lamp in her living room was bugged before she invited Jessie, Damien, and several other people over for a party, but the audio was either inaudible, or nothing incriminating was said (stories differ).- In a 2004 interview Vickie stated that Detective Gary Gitchell had both her and Marion police officer Donald Bray sign an “affidavit of silence” pledging themselves never to mention that Aaron had named John Mark Byers. “I learned later on there is no such thing as an affidavit of silence,” says Hutcheson, “but that’s how he described the document we signed."Bennie Guy's Letter- In 2013 a private investigator was looking through old evidence and discovered a letter written to prosecutor Scott Ellington in February 2012. In this letter, a man named Bennie Guy claimed that in 1994, two teens, Buddy Lucas and LG Hollingsworth had confessed to him that they had been involved in the murders with Terry Hobbs and David Jacoby. To corroborate this letter the investigator contacted Bennie’s friend, Billy Stewart. He also confirmed that one of the teens, Buddy Lucas, had admitted to his involvement in the murders with the other three men.- The gist of this theory is that Hobbs, Jacoby, Lucas, and Hollingsworth had gone to the woods to smoke pot and drink whiskey, some form of sexual activity occurred between them, they realized they were being spied on by the three boys, so they killed them. - A very in-depth explanation of this theory can be found here https://thewestmemphispuzzle.blog/
>>42427438Ken Govar and the Hitchhiker- Ken Govar was a long haul trucker who came to the West Memphis police and told them a story of picking up a hitchhiker in Little Rock and dropping him off in West Memphis on May 5th.- He described the man as "radiating extreme anger" and sporting several Satanic tattoos.- Ken Govar is the brother of federal prosecutor Bob Govar, who many believe ran a sham investigation/coverup in the infamous "Boys on the Tracks" case (murder of Don Henry and Kevin Ives).
>>42427443MISCELLANEOUS ODDITIES- The word (or possibly initials) ME was found carved in a tree at the crime scene. The carving was described as fresh, although its unclear if it had any relation to the crime.- Several weeks before the murders Chris Byers told his mother of a bizarre incident, claiming that while he was playing in his front yard, a car pulled over to the side of the road and a woman got out and started taking pictures of him. - Oddity regarding Terry Hobbs: online public records list three different places of birth: Northern Arkansas, Tennessee, and Omaha Nebraska. - In 2010 it was reported that foreign DNA was recovered from the genitals of once victim, and it did not match Damien, Jason, Jessie, Hobbs, or Jacoby. I cannot find any other info on this since then. - On May 12th, 1993, someone called WMPD claiming to be the murderer. Some believe it sounds like Damien: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQgVBvoA1NY
I remember when every celeb wanted us to believe they were innocent
Great thread. Lots of creepy and unsettling details.
Bump
>>42427584Depp even got matching tattoos with Damien
>>42427446The OTO connection goes even further - Damien was well known in the local chapter and even had plenty of books donated to them, they have his name commemorated. Highly recommend William Ramsey's book on this subject, Abomination. Personally, I think there's a larger cult angle that needs to be explored.
>>42427983I'll check it our.I'm curious if you have any thoughts about who the other cult members could have been. Do you think either of the stepfathers was involved?
>>42427396>Steve NawojczykProbably unrelated but he was involved in an early Clinton scandal. Accused Bill of covering up a negligent homicide back when he was Arkansas' governor.
>>42428080Interesting but not really surprising, Bills time in Arkansas was shady as fuck.

Pansies? Soooo... Who is responsible, and how can we get to them? Cold case files are always interesting. Keep eyes and hearts open.

Bump. Since you know more about this then I do, what are your theories? I have some of my own, and there's probably some overlap between us, but I'd be curious to hear your take.
Don't really have much to add, just wanted to say thanks for the high-effortposting on an interesting topic, OP. /x/ needs it like motherfucker these days.
>>42428076Definitely, especially with one being a Mason and police informant. The recent Delphi case is similar in this respect, only I do believe Echols is the main perp. What I'm wondering is if there are any connections to Rod Ferrell and his teen vampire cult and the Echols/WM occult scene. Their respected hangouts were only 3 hours apart, and years of activity are very close too.
>>42432488This case is similar to the Jon Benet case in that there's so much weirdness and shady people around it, its hard to commit to any one theory.I tend towards thinking the WM3 were involved. If they did it by themselves, probably Domini and LG helped with the cleanup. It's a plausible scenario, but there's a lot of other weirdness around it.Mark Byers fits the profile of a protected asset, Hobbs is shady as hell and the detail of him having three places of birth is very weird, A trucker who just so happens to drop off a Satanic hitchhiker in West Memphis, and it turns out the truckers brother is a federal prosecutor who glows in the dark. It was once said about the Jon Benet case (I'm paraphrasing here) "Every piece of evidence was designed to point anywhere except the truth." I think something similar might be at work here. Everyone (even many WM3 supporters) is pretty married to the idea that they were killed near the dump site, but why were two of them found with clothes other than what they were last seen in? I think its very possible they were killed at another location. I think its possible many cult-connected teens and adults were involved to varying degrees and the WM3 were basically taking the fall for the entire operation, which means they likely weren't the leaders.>>42432600If it was entirely a teen cult I can accept Echols as the main perp, if it was a larger operation I don't think he was, for the reason I stated above.I also wonder if there were any legit connections to the group that killed Amy Childree. Cult leader (who didn't participate in the murder itself) was named Brenda Green and its almost impossible to find any info on her online. Remember that several people said that Damien was introduced to the occult by an older woman.
>>42427584this>>42427983thank you>>42427379are you the WM3 guy that would post on /tv/ and /pol/ like 8 years ago? I remember that guy and his posts changed my opinion on the case. I fully believe they did kill those children
>>42427584Even the South Park guys.
>>42427446this probably is just a coincidence but ME is a 33 code like CC and theyre all a star of david code
>>42432600reminds me of the krothhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_Pearl_High_School_shooting> Prior to the shootings, Woodham had met Boyette, another of the six charged with conspiracy to murder, and supposedly accepted an invitation to join a group Boyette had formed and called "the Kroth".[15] During the summer of 1997, the supposed members of the Kroth allegedly made plans to terrorize Pearl High School. The plans ultimately involved Woodham entering the school and opening fire.[18]also if you read the JCSO report on the Columbine shooting also known as the 11k, there are tons of sketchy stuff around Columbine. Like hearing shots past 1230pm when Eric and Dylan died up until around 4pm, seeing multiple shooters, other shootings that were going to take place around bear creek.what was going on in the late 90s, this is some strategy of tension stuff
Good thread thanks op
>>42433408yeah Columbine is one that has a lot of weird shit around it.
Thanks for your work on it pal, I miss those kind of thread. I really need to start digging like when I was younger into mysteries.
>>42433408The Justin Sledge mentioned in that wikipedia article is the Youtuber Esoterica.
>>42427379amazing work OPcan we get a deep dive on jon benet? maybe bake another thread one of these days?
>>42432700Damn that's basically my theory. Not to sound schizo but I wouldn't be surprised if there was an overlap between the actual networks behind both JBR and the WM3. At least at the top levels/intelligence agencies/cults we've never heard of etc. We know the government has coerced people into committing heinous acts. Boston bombing just off the top of my head. You gotta think, if a lot of these people are just retarded and lonely and can get groomed into doing something horrific without much effort...then it isn't too much of a reach to think some of these sickos are cult members who have either been brainwashed thoroughly enough to do it without much prodding, are blackmailed/forced to do it, or they're a true believer that's fully aware of the ramifications and are fine with them. The 764 shit is the tip of the iceberg. And I'm only talking about decentralized networks. This shits been going for millennia, and now with the technology readily available to kids it's fucking grim to think about. Solid thread anon. We need more threads like this. Good luck and God bless.
>>42427882Depp also has matching tattoos with Marilyn Manson, who is a godfather to Depp's daughter. Depp was friends with Hunter Thompson and played him in a movie. Paul Bonacci from the "Franklin scandal" claimed a "Hunter Thompson" was involved with snuff films and Rusty Nelson alleged that Thompson offered him money to film one. A not sober Thompson went on the Dave Letterman TV show and blurted out "I like to kill." Depp starred in Roman Polanski's "devil summoning" movie The Ninth Gate. Polanski was arrested in the US in 1977 for drugging and raping a 13 year old. Polanski fled the country and is considered a fugitive. Polanski's 1968 movie Rosemary's Baby is about a woman who gives birth to a baby, who is taken by a coven and they tell her it's Satan's son. The next year in 1969 Polanski's eight month pregnant wife Sharon Tate was killed by the Charles Manson cult. Polanski allowed Life magazine to photograph him standing next to the door that had "PIG" written in Tate's blood.
>>42436802>>42437089I actually did do a deep dive Jon Benet thread last October. It's archived, if you want to look for it. I suppose I could re-post it with some modifications and maybe get some new discussion going. >>42437322Interesting stuff, thanks. One thing I'll mention is that I'm pretty sure that both Paul Bonacci and Noreen Gosh say that "Hunter Thompson" wasn't the Hunter Thompson, just a glowie who resembled him and used the name. I don't doubt that the real Thompson was also involved in some shit (assistant said he once tried to get her to watch a snuff film with him, "committed suicide" as he was writing a book in 9/11).
Honestly I'm 50/50 on this case. The whole thing is strange. I wonder if the WM3 were involved, but that step did worked with them or something.Of the three of them Baldwin seems the most innocent, but I think he probably still knew something.
>>42437866Baldwin in interesting. On the one hand, he was far more of a low-key person than Damien or Jessie, he wasn't know to have an interest in the occult, and some people who named him as a cult member might have been talking about the other Jason Baldwin. For these reasons some people, even those who think that Damien and Jessie were guilty, doubt that he was involved. On the other hand Jessies confession paints him as the initial aggressor and most violent of the three. There's a fringe theory that while Damien was a violent person, he was more of a LARPer than anything, and that Jason is the true sociopath and that Damien basically went along with it because his reputation preceded him.
