I am immune to strangulation, or blood chokes. I can be strangled for 6 minutes, an amount of time that is normally fatal in all circumstances, without falling unconscious. I started off by garroting myself expecting to faint and wake back up only to discover I had lasted 20 seconds without fainting, and built up my courage to go to 6 minutes. Strangling myself by tying 24 pounds to my neck and then lifting it by standing up yields the same result, so it's not a matter of pulling too weakly. It takes about 11 pounds of force to cut off the carotid arteries.
