I’m sure there’s a legitimate explanation for how Akinator functions that I’m just too dumb to comprehend, but I still think there’s something supernatural going on with that game. How does it know what I’m thinking?

it never guesses what i'm thinking.
I think it can actually read minds, but has to play stupid often to not be suspicious. I had it guess a significant trait of something I am thinking of right off the bat. And the way it can deduce my guess so fast with only minor info is strange too.

Internally the data is probably formatted likeCharacter NameLocationMedia they are inWhat they are famous foretc etcThen it asks a few questions to narrow them down. With each question, the amount of possible answers shrinks dramatically, until there are only a few.
