It's kind of obvious from the trailer.

The two protagonists were abducted when they were kids, a shadowy group is tracking abductees and has access to some alien tech. The aliens use Emily Blunt to announce that they are going to show up and say Hi. Shadowy group is trying to find the two protagonists so they can use them to tell the aliens to stay away. Aliens in a big craft show up and now everyone knows we aren't alone, but it's a good thing.
