Gantz is an scifi anime and manga series centering on the gamification of hunting aliens. The hunters are people and sometimes animals that have died recently and have been revived for a second shot at life, assuming that they win. To win, they need 100 points. They fight and slay many types of aliens from ones based on vegetables, to dinosaric ones, and even ones that look like statues. They do this with guns that can make things explode and with supersuits that give them superhuman strength, speed, and durability. They even have invisibility devices. If enough points are earned, players can unlock vehicles and mechs, as well as better weapons.I made this thread both because the concept is interesting and because there have been rather recent events that vibe like something out of this series; the Miami Mall incident and all these UFOs, and talk of alien disclosure and invasion So is Gantz ‘predictive’ programming/soft disclosure? Is there really a game like this irl after death? Are there really aliens or similar beings, and are they weird like, say, banana aliens or negro alien? Are there weapons besides explosives that can make things explode?
Bump.
