Here's the trick with jesus. His writings teach how to make contact with the true divine while simultaneously preaching obedience and worship to el. It's why there's so much contention over his instruction: Because people naturally want to contend that the true cosmic divine and the petty god el must be the same. But that's not the case. This world is ruled by an entity that only wants to keep you here, even going so far as to tempt you with "heaven", which is just a guilded sheep pen. And you know what? Even the good shephards eat their sheep.
