What are the spiritual implications of prolonged fasting? I.E. longer than 3 days.
I did anorexia for 40 days when I accidentally packed on some weight. Didn't have so much as a breadcrumb the whole time. Nothing spiritual happened.
Poor people do this all the time and everyone hates them/treats them like shit. They have very little influence, no one cares about their lives, people rarely want to help them, and they suffer constantly. I have never seen a homeless man or thirdworlder successfully achieve nirvana or gnosis, or do a kamehameha wave or teleport or read minds or genuinely heal the sick, but I have seen plenty fail trying. Most of them just get high. If fasting has meaningful spiritual impact then why come anorexic bitches be like that?

>>42465796Poor purple are generally fat and obese in today's age. Yes even in bongobongo country. Sugar, oil and flour are basically free.
>>42465760Ignore these retards before me. "Starving yourself" isn't the same as fasting. Fasting is procedural.Like stepping into a cold pool, you don't wanna just cannonball into it because you'll get a serious shock. You slowly enter the pool step by step. You start by eating fruits and easily digestible foods for a day or two to acclimate. Then move on to just fruits. Then just water for a period. Then back to fruits and greens. Then back up to carbs and meats again. Its a parabola. It forces your cells and waste-pathways to do a purge, a flush, which you then replace with fresh nutrition. The 'spiritual' implications?Clear mind for insight and intuition.Clean body for energy and anxiety. Also, coming out on the other side of the stress and difficulty of the experience, is something you can be proud of yourself for.Exodus 34:28: "Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water"Following his baptism, Jesus is led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where he fasts for forty days and is tempted by the devilEmerald tablet: "He who in courage would dare the dark realms, let him be purified first by long fasting. Lie in the sarcophagus of stone in my chamber. Then reveal I to him the great mysteries." ~Thoth
The real fasting is not what you eat but everything you intake/give energetically. So the most important thing is reducing the amounts of thoughts, the attention given to them, absorbing the energy the usually goes outwards into the center of your being, even if activities may happen. Then your functioning becomes more natural and aligned.Once the mind is fasted, any food that is taken is healthier, because the higher vessel is able to nourish the earth vessel more effectively. The "don't eat anything" fasting is given to plebs to allow them to focus on something other than the physical.
>>42466898Reducing>amounts of thoughtsno...>the attention given to themyes. Its not about playing thought whack-a-mole.>Its about nullifying your identification with them.
>>42466901You're correct, I didn't phrase it well.Basically, they will reduce themselves when attention is withdrawn. Otherwise they will always appear if one tries to get rid of them... it's like telling someone to not think about a blue elephant.
