Any lucid dreaming experimenters still around on /x/?used to use this for brainwaves, just relaunched:https://squareeater.com
>>42482162Staring at that pattern for perhaps a minute and then looking down at my desk created a very vivid optical illusion of waves moving over the surface of the desk. Pretty cool, definitely gives your visual cortex a mild confusion! :D
>>42482162>https://squareeater.comWow, I tried one and it instantly sent me in the "mind awake body asleep" state.I started to have lucid dreams several times a week after I tried the gateway tapes, it was not wanted but these had apparently made my brain accustomed to stay awake while asleep. But it was always the same: I would realize that I was dreaming, become lucid, think "Great, I can do whatever I want!", but not a single interesting idea would come to my mind... and once awake I would think "Damn, I could have experienced any fantasy imaginable, why couldn't I think about anything!?" Which makes me question: were these really lucid dreams if I could not think straight?
>>42482162Take hero doses of melatonin It was the only way I had my one true lucid dream
>>42483316Would it be even worth it ... :)
>>42483316It gotta be the Dollar General ones too
>>42483823You would damage your brain. Try guided meditation podcasts instead until you can do it yourself.

>>42482162Yes, I've had quite a few over the years. Usually have DILD, but have done WILD a few times. These days I mostly prefer to not be lucid, I find being fully lucid can remove some of the excitement/heightened emotions that come with dreams. Here are some of my tips:1. You are probably going to be horny, for whatever reason libido is elevated when dreaming. Not being gooner and doing things like looking around and talking to dream characters is more satisfying. As some examples, one of my first lucid dreams, I was in a forest or something. I remember looking down and noticed that all the rocks on the ground were beautifully inlaid with crystal. Another one: I became lucid and was in a suburban area. On powerlines above me, there were vines hanging down, bearing a fruit that looked like a cherry. I reached up, picking some and ate it. It smelled and tasted good, which are not common senses in regular dreams.2. Direct control is hard. Trying to force things can wake you up or lead to funny monkeypaw scenarios. Maybe the latter are a way my unconscious mind tries to communicate with me. An example: I once tried to summon a city and destroy it. The summoning mostly worked, though when I unleashed my magical power, the city did collapse - but it turned out to all be cardboard. In another one, I willed the ability to fly (which isn't uncommon in my dreams either way), but found I could only hover a few feet off the ground, not being able to fly over even a short fence.3. Continuing on the last one, the best way I have found for summoning is gentle imagination. Rather than trying to force something, simply imagine it: first visualize it (you can close your eyes in a dream, if that helps), try to imagine the tactile feeling of it, etc. This is the most surefire way I've found to actually summon things, though even remembering this technique can be challenging cause even while lucid you may not be too mentally coherent.
Pretty much every time I dream it is lucid. I've tried fulfilling my fantasies which doesn't work, by their very nature desires cannot be fulfilled. I've tried being open to receiving visions from my subconscious or the supernatural or whatever, but they are just formless riddles and the real insight comes from reading meaning into them after (which is true of life itself anyway). So not much value, it's just the same as fantasy or the kind of random visions you can get in meditation. Focus on enhancing the restorative value of sleep through sleep hygiene instead.
>>42486940Dude, Just try to examine what is real and ordinary in your environment around where your body is sleeping. Get good at seeing what is real and the real adventure can begin.Develop real tested and proven abilities to remote view from the out of body perspective during sleep. You talk like you have not even got started yet and you think you have finished the race ..and now you want to teach other people to be as blind as you are
Mirtazipine is fun
>>42484339Last night I dreamed that I was saying "nuke me nuke me nuke me" while pointing at myself with my thumbs after I... violated rule14 and posted ponies or smth idk. A woman in front of me flipped a switch and b& me I think. Anyway then I looked around myself and suddenly I was in like some sort of college classroom where the professor at the front was giving a lecture about the basics of AI. on the whiteboard at the front of the class was like some sort of holographic projection of a great big Google search page scribble floating in midair
