Have your ads been getting strange recently? Are modern forms of advertising evolved forms of psyops from years past? I ask since I got a weird advertisement in pic related, implying that the reader may not remember their childhood, which sounds like creepy gaslighting (note the childish esthetic to the ad, fucking with innocence)Its really weird since I got it under a news article anout the recent mario movie, and the article states that Nintendo prioritized childhood nostalgia over critics I say all that since this is a weird advertisement and a weird place to see it.What are they REALLY hoping to accomplish by gaslighting people into thinking their past may be fake? That sounds evil, like mk ultra type shitMaybe im high but I think this is a weird thing guys
>>42484835There are multiple reasons for this. >Grifting for data collection>Create false positives that poison the well of conversation & lend credence to skeptics >Check-in on genuine former GATE/GT students who are now at the age where they have questions & resurfacing memoriesI was in the Texas GT program from 2000 through high school graduation — though by high school it was largely ornamental, like an AVID program with extra bells & whistles; I guess whatever they do to us is largely done by high school, and they're just keeping tabs. I don't remember much of my childhood, but a lot of people I know don't really remember their childhoods either. I honestly don't think it's as unusual for kids to not recall much of their childhood as people act like it is; memory is already flawed, let alone when you're a kid & your brain is still developing. But honestly I don't know.
