were the manson family connected to la cosa nostra? one of their victims leno labianca apparently owed a massive gambling debt to genovese and dragna crime families, and paul watkins said in his book he met a lawyer that also was an associate of the italian-american mafia.i don't believe that the mafia hired a gang of dirty smelly hippies that lived in movie set ranches to do the dirty work for them, they would have sent their guys instead. but the whole labianca thing makes me much more suspicious of the manson case.
