What would you pick

Book of Deaths and Babble of The Skulls
>>
>>42498818

Exile's Diary and Principles of Alchemy.

>>
>>42498916
So? Book of Deaths is the closest to the Death Note.
>>
expunged data/babble of skulls
>>
Babble of skulls is a waste
>>

t. smooth skin
>>
>>42498916
>YHWH
>pages supposedly transcribing various utterances of the actual God of all existence
>supposedly
you got scammed, anon. However, you may be able to scam someone else in return. YHWH is the god of merchants, after all.
>other copies are traded around by High Priests
so its not all bad.
>>
>>42498818
At least you worked harder on your Harry Potter-inspired LARP.
>>
>>42499087
Babble of Skulls is the most interesting one to me. I want to be both enticed and prepared for what's to come.

I'll also take Elementary Potion Handbook. Sounds noob-friendly and I can learn to brew something to induce mystical states or improve health.
And then Fae Sightings. I think working with the safer fae species might be an interesting and lower commitment magical discipline.
>>
>>42499203
>100 years old

hopelessly outdated
>>
>>42498818
Yhwh transcript is a gamble. But since it's "the most difficult to obtain", it must be worth something one way or another. At the very least you could probably sell it for a very high price.
Expunged data sounds very enticing as well, threats aside. Not sure how practically useful the information there would be beyond providing general awareness though.
Inquiry into magick is a safe long-term pick.
So I'd be choosing between these three.
Everything else sounds kinda whatever. Interesting-ish but not worth wasting one attempt for.

Inquiry and Lectures. I want to write recipes not follow them.
>>
Magic isn’t real
>>
>>42498818
Elementary Potions Handbook + Book of Deaths

It’s clear I’m just a dabbler. I may as well grab a list of things to do.
>>
>>42498818
Babble of the Skulls, Handbook of the Banished Gods, and Elementary Potion Handbook
>>
>>42500535
And reasoning:
Genuinely interested in what the dead experience, banished gods sound like they'll be fun to serve, and potions practice to tie everything together into becoming a cool lil witch.
>>
Erospholes' Tricks of Persuasion and Elementary potion Handbook
>>
>>42500752
infinitely unique
>>
>Dr. Incimedes Lectures on the Esoteric Method
This seems to be the best book for the self taught mage without needing to rely on gods/spirits/ whatever. I have no interest in serving a deity.
>Babble of skulls
Everybody dies, and having info about what happens in the afterlife to prepare for it would allow me to get the best result possible .
>Elementary Potion Handbook
Would prefer Principles of Alchemy but Babble of skulls was to good to pass up. Besides this seems to have everything I would want to make anyways. I think it would be a safe assumption that there is a healing potion and cure disease recipe in here as well.

>>42499087
I would make the argument that Babble of skulls is the most underrated book. Having the objective truth on what happens post death and how to prepare for it is extremely valuable an the fact its only one point is a great deal.

I would say that the worst book is Book of deaths. Its very easy to kill someone and poisons is easy to make and find recipes for. Seems like 3 points just to get a fancy gun.
>>
>the exile's diary
as a tartarian researcher this would be invaluable to me, tartarian architecture often pairs with esoteric locations as well.

>esoteric method
the diary would be well paired with that since knowing about the esoteric methods (although i already know plenty) allows me to get more out of those locations. would have preferred expunged data since that most likely is going to have all of tartarian history but not enough points sadly.
>>
I hate books
>>
>>42501296
>I would say that the worst book is Book of deaths
Assuming the book is legit, I think you vastly underestimate the ability to assassinate someone - even a respected and powerful politician - a thousand miles away in the safety of your home basement, in total anonymity, after doing some questionable ritual. That would be more effective and valuable and terrifying than any master sniper could ever hope to be. Truly.

I don't take any of them. I pull out my phone and photograph all the pages, brap loudly, and leave.

The old man is a powerful wizard or alien or something. You’d get slapped.
>>
>>42501296
>Its very easy to kill someone
Even a child can stick a fork in a body builder’s neck. But getting away with it?
>>
>>42504024
Far easier than you think, the vast majority of murders go unsolved. Police stations are filled with cold cases.
This anon >>42503715 makes a decent point about the book usefulness with killing people who are to get to like politicians and other heavily guarded people but even then it is still not worth it in my opinion.

>Far easier than you think
It depends on the person. You might live in an area where the chances are slim to practically non-existent.
>>
>>42498818
Expunged Data is really tempting. I don’t do much with my life, so I doubt I’d be much of a threat to anyone.

By the way, what is this kind of image called? I ask because I collect them (I have four, so far. woo hoo). I call them "fantasy menus" or "occult menus" but I made that up and googling those phrases generates only spurious results. I'd love to know the proper term. Thank you.

I'll take Fae Sightings since I'd like a cute fairy gf, and round it out with Elementary Potion Handbook and Babble of the Skulls, because those seem useful and might be possible for me to actually understand and make use of.
>>
>>42508767
>since I'd like a cute fairy gf
Sadly the ‘cute fairy gf’ species of fae was hunted to extinction by indian and paki immigrants
>>
>>42498818
fae sightings, babble of the skulls, elementary potion handbook. either that or trade out the latter two of inquiry into the nature of magick.
if i don't understand the latter book am i free to return it? what's the library's return policy
>>
>>42498818
Principles of Alchemy and Inquiry Into the Nature of Magick
>>
>>42498818
Elementary Potion Handbook, Inquiry Into the Nature of Magick, and Babble of the Skulls.
>>
>>42498818
the exiles diary, inquiry into the nature of magick. will levitate my way through the locations and will find other relics. Who knows maybe I will even stumble upon the other books/manuscripts
>>
>>42498818
I'll take the King James Bible please
>>
>>42498818
Principles of alchemy and esoteric method
>>
>Exile's Diary
Incredibly important. Best point:usefulness ratio in the list if you're willing to travel.
>Fae Sightings
Great if you want to graduate from humanity in this lifetime

Alternative pick:
>Principles of Alchemy
Probably something you could get in your own time, but this would get you started on doing magic. The other magic books are either theory, too dangerous, or useless to someone without the magic 101 foundation.
