I am highly susceptible to to sleep paralysis and being assaulted by vision of demons and various horrors. I remember seeing lots of people online saying they can banish these by invoking the name of christ during the episode. It's extremely hard to have the presence of mind while in these states to actually remember to do this but they have become so frequent that I was able to pull it off. I was face to face with one of these entities and I invoked the name of Christ and guess what. Absolutely fucking nothing happened, the nightmare continued unabated totally unaffected by my invocation. WTF am I doing wrong? Or is Jesus and Christianity just a load of bullshit after all?

OP, I've been harassased and raped by spirits when awake and Jesus name does nothing to remove them. This has went on for over 12 years, coming on 13 years now. I too wonder if Christianity is a load of shit and people just lie about demons going away to promote christianity. I'd like to think people are more honest but the Jesus name stuff doesn't work and I know I have a real demon or real demons.Because Christianity allows slavery I wonder if the religion is just evil. Jesus name doesn't work for me and praying to him and God also doesn't remove the demons, God and Jesus ignore my requests for demon removal.Because Jesus name doesn't remove spiritual rape I go through all kinds of mental gymnastics to figure out the facts. This wasn't a succubus fantasy and we ended up sort of physically fighting. She seemed mostly immune to anything I did, eventually I started chanting for God to banish her (no JC reference, just God) and she became weak and started screaming. I just kept repeating it and it seemed to defeat her, I immediately woke up after.
