When you go under anesthesia, you don't feel, remember or experience anything. It's just nothingness.

So isn't that what happens when you die?

I just experienced nothingness reading this frogpost. How tiresome.

Only one of these is correct

No, because in a real death the channel would change like a tv station. You're watching a cosmic boob tube.
Your body is still anchoring your soul here.
>>
Yeah, it’s probably nothingness.

People say reincarnation is possible because nothingness is what you were born from. However, this theory has some problems.

Animals with consciousness are born all the time, but you don’t gain their consciousness while you’re still alive. Reincarnation is based on the idea that this will somehow change when YOU die.

When YOU die isn’t really relevant to other conscious animals that are continually being born, however. An elephant that gets born in Africa tomorrow is going to be born with a consciousness regardless of whether or not YOU die today. And it’s going to be that elephant’s own consciousness regardless of whether YOU die today or not.

Also, why can’t multiple people reincarnate into the same animal? If two people die at the same time, can they reincarnate into the same elephant in Africa?

If you try to describe what comes after YOUR death in terms of what happens YOU, you’ve already made a fundamental mistake. YOU don’t exist after death. And YOUR death is entirely irrelevant to other conscious animals being born. So I don’t understand the mechanism by which a consciousness can transfer from death to life.

Death is probably just permanent nothingness unless God exists.

No, because you don't have anaesthetic when you die. Unless your surgeon fucks up or something.

When you specifically die, yes that's what will happen because you're an NPC

what is outside of the universe? try to imagine it. nothing you say? nope. the outside of the universe wasn't created with the big bang. it doesn't exist. there is no outside of the universe.

when you die, you are no longer a part of the universe. there is no nothingness. you just don't exist anymore.
>>
No

There is life after death

For most

There's actually a lot of chemical activity going on in order to suppress your consciousness when you're under. It's not "nothingness".

Further, and possibly most frightening, there's growing evidence that people are actually quite aware when they're anesthetized. They just cant remember it afterwards.

Lastly, time. Time is static, and this is such a basic thing in physics it shouldnt need to be drilled into anyone's heads anymore, but it does. Normies still cant grasp it. So youre not really looking at "loss of consciousness". What you are looking at is "loss of time". You skip over those portions because the conduit through which your consciousness interprets time has moved. I've thought about this issue a lot, in fact. Thats all.

Oh another thing, one which I personally can relate to....If you've ever had the experience of going to a the dentist and getting the laughing gas, then you know it feels like you just completely blinked out of existence and then blinked back in again afterwards. It felt like "total nothingness". But surprise, to everyone else who was standing in that room you were totally aware. Totally conscious. If you were videotaped then you would see yourself laughing and responding to anything doctors ask you.

But yet you were "unconscious" in some sense in your own perception.
>>
There is, in essence, no evidence that life after death does not exist. The evidence we do have points in the other direction. The evidence may be limited, but it all conclusively points in that direction.
>>
>>42499755
No. You're still alive when you're put under, so you can't compare the two.

>If you've ever had the experience of going to a the dentist and getting the laughing gas
Unfortunately I can't take laughing gas, it doesn't do anything to me. Found that out the hard way when I was a little kid. I either need local anesthesia, or if it's something really serious, I need to be completely put under.
>If you were videotaped then you would see yourself laughing and responding to anything doctors ask you.
So it's like being blackout drunk. You can be completely conscious, interacting with people, but you have zero memory of it the next day.

Watching people sit around and frog post, read frog posts, play video games, sit on the couch and watch movies, masturbate, binge watch series, binge watch reruns, work 10 hours a day on the computer, then spend 6 more hours on the computer, staring at cellphone screens, sitting down reading books, sleeping, bed rotting
What an utterly boring show to watch.
Why would any...

Yes, but only for a while. After that you wake up as a ghost.
If you want to know the whole process, read the tibetan book of the dead.

Tell me more about your fixation with "soul trauma", please.

You traumatize the soul, in ways the body does not even remember?
