Thats silly. Real clinical narcissism and not just somebody displaying pride or arrogance is a real thing. Pathological narcissism is different than pop culture "narcissism" where anyone who has egotistical traits is considered a narcissist. In a really general sense, its when somebody has an obsessive need to get reality to reflect to them that their delusional chosen avatar (ego) is the truth.

In a deeper sense, its when somebody at one point early in life "splits" and becomes a version of themselves known as "the false self", which is basically a delusional, inflated reality they spend enormous energy collecting "proof" via interactions and other (usually) superficial measurements by controlling how their outside enviroment reflects back to them. Due to how they are raised (and genetics) they literallly dont form a functioning sense of self. Its similar to BPD in that way, but also different. These are a couple of signs that a lack of goodness [evil] afflicts the individual.

But it does not mean the individual is evil just for being afflicted. We do not say "I am the flu virus" when we catch a cold. No matter how long we have been sick, it's not reality. Nor should you say "I am evil" just because you feel the affliction.

And the reason you cling to the idea of being evil and calling yourself evil is because of the lack of identity, because if you can say "I am evil" you get to say "I am". It is a tempting way to try to find your missing self.

And it is hard for you to let go of saying "I am evil" because that would mean not having that transient identity, and you are faced with the terrifying emptiness of "Who am I?".

OP, you can also look into self-compassion, especially the idea that you can see yourself as worthy and deserving of kindness even when you aren't the best or people aren't treating you as the best. Self-compassion has been found to reduce narcissism.
