The brain creates reality out of sense data. We see reflections of a tiny portion of the EM spectrum (visible light) from solid objects and our brain builds an image from the data that it receives as electrochemical impulses. Our skin and ears also do this. But the images are created in the. Brain. Yet all around us are radio waves and microwaves IR and UV and everything for all of human history we never knew or really understood until James Clerk Maxwell in the 19th century. Who knows what the hell else is around us all the time that your evolved sense organs cannot detect or our brain cannot turn into some kind of image or sensation? Billions of neutrinos pass through you every second - we feel nothing. What else could pass through. What if you could alter your brain state to see things that others cannot see? Some things are ‘Occult’ (hidden). It is often said that magic is merely science we do not understand yet - perhaps it is better to say magic and the occult is a reality outside/above empirical observation and therefore outside the possibility of experiment.So many legends across cultures talk of spirits and a spirit world. Ghosts. Demons. Angels. Jinn ect. All something translucent and like smokeless fire. What if they only reveal themselves when they choose and are careful to stay occult? How to detect them? Scientific instruments? Meditation and fasting? Drugs to alter conscious states?
People say they see things in drug induced states - DMT and mushrooms and LSD and all that. Are these things they see total fictions concocted by the brain? Are they different to the things we create around us? Maybe there is something we are seeing if we all see similar things? The DMT jesters for example. What are they?
