Spirituality is a nightmare, because we're basically spiritually blind by default as humans, but (in my opinion) the spiritual side of reality is real and many beings from that side actively try to harm us for various reasons, so it's like being attacked by invisible enemies. However, I had a Chinese friend who told me that in their traditional (non-Buddhist) beliefs, they believe that humans have creative freedom while we reside here in the lower realm. So I think that may be the reason why we don't know everything about reality as per our design/biological features. She also told me that they believe that some of their ancestors ascended to the higher realms, where the gods reside, and that they fight the other gods to protect their human families on Earth. But she also said that our realm is "insulated" from the gods realm, so they cant harm us or do things to us (though I disagree.) One of the most interesting things she said is also that they believe that when you ascend to the higher realms, it's a one-way ticket, you can't go back down.

He said that even when people do divination like Tarot, other beings can still mess with the process and make it so that the person doing the divination sees what THEY (the other being) wants the humans to see, and not what is actually the truth.
