I just do what I want really, but I follow the advice of old religious art scholars like abhinavagupta. Basically I take from the unconscious, then make something that communicates a direct feeling. The themes can be about anything, it really depends on what feels right. The idea is that art is a religious form, if done properly, it creates a specific psycho-somatic response in the interactor and the creator.I'm not super technically skilled yet, but I can produce a fairly good reception when I sporadically post.
