I have been seeing this everywhere online as of late. People keep referring to God as "yahweh". Somehow a Canaanite storm deity has made it into the meatspace and become synonymous with the God of the bible. I know there's the Tetegrammation which, when Latinized, supposedly reads as "YHWH" but even this according to Exodus is only supposed to mean "I am that I am". God would've just introduced himself "yo, Moses, what's up. The name's Yahweh" instead of some cryptic saying which nobody can pronounce right these days. To me it doesn't even make philosophical sense for a God outside of time and space to even have a declared name. Having a name implies a higher authority who bestowed that title on you.
