I know the pins and needles feeling when moving around in dreams and I'm told projecting feels similarly, but during my last attempt, instead of astral projecting I just woke up disappointed lol

Basically you want to create a “main hub” a place that no matter where you are you can recall and go to. So once you’ve seen do this, start meditating daily the goal is to keep your mind busy focusing on your “mind palace”So then when you go to sleep you are able to keep your mind awake because you have trained it while you have been awake. Your body will go to sleep but your mind wont. Now this is where the work youve done on whatever you main hub, safehouse, mind palace whatever you call it comes in. A lot if people get sleep paralysis but thats because they have no where to go. You have to have somewhere to go first… you cant expect to travel somewhere without a destination (not in the mind atleast)So yeah once you do that… then you can start looking around at using symbols and things to visit other places. A lot of things act like “links” to other realms. Biggest advice is have no fear. You are consciousness aka god (generator operator and destroyer) Everything came from consciousness. Let nothing scare you. If you do get scared just think of your “safe place”, yoy can also use totems like in inception to anchor you to places.

I never did too much hermetic mystic shit, mostly just breathwork and drugs, with a strong mindset.my most consistent way for me to generate a oobe was combining DMT with some sort of dissociative. the most repeatable way was to take a giant rip of DMT and follow it up with a balloon of nitrous as soon as I got one breath in after the initial exhale of DMT. I would pretty consistently travel outside my body. sometimes I'd just look at myself laying in bed or whatever, other times I went all over the cosmos, interacting with entities, sometimes escorted by them as if they wanted to show me something. now I have no idea if it's the same as astral projection in the way other people mean, or if I was just experiencing an extremely elaborate hallucination. but then again, consciousness itself is mostly an elaborate hallucination so I don't really know.
