Then along came the cat. Cats want a safe place to sleep and have kittens, and some human settlements offered that. Those that did, thrived, because cats are the ultimate small prey hunter. Cats instinctively catch and kill birds and rodents on sight, and birds and rodents instinctively stay the fuck away from cats. And, like dogs, cats can just be sweet and fun to have around.There's a lot of superstition around cats, and maybe they can astral travel and visit people on the other side. I don't know, and I'm skeptical of woo woo ideas based on feelings. I'd be interested to see scientific investigations (like those of Rupert Sheldrake) or even anecdotal evidence pointing to cats being even more awesome than I already think they are.

They'll maul you, shit everywhere, steal your food, and raise your cortisol with their insessant yapping all so you don't kill yourself convinced with the delusions that they aren't retarded and actully "love" you and don't talk back and tell you the truth that you suck like any human would Cats are just hungry animals shameless enough to beg to avoid hunting so they can sleep 20 hours a day.
