Bioshock is also The Wizard of Oz btw. Pretty much everything is. The Kid Cudi albums "Man on the Moon" are Wizard of Oz, Ergo Proxy is wizard of oz. Most of this stuff is also based on nursery rhymes. Children are taught the alphabet to the cadence of twinkle twinkle little star.

Twin-kle, twink-le, lit-tle, star
A-B, C-D, E-F, G
How I won-der, what you-are
H I J-K, LMN, OP

etc, it's all tied together. Mapping the letters to both a numerical index and a tone can also subliminally influence the subconscious.
