i have heard many people say that the plot of the movie is bloated, but i think that it is multilayered and only those of us who are truly in the know can fully appreciate the movie. in the surface level you have the action and the character drama, which i can understand why the normies found it lackluster, in the deeper layers you might find the theological debate (which i feel like was a bit tacked on at parts) and the true disclosure (which was pretty good in my opinion). but in the deepest layers the movie is trying to do a very specific thing and that is the magic ritual going on in the background. when i watched the movie, i gave myself into it and it changed me as a person. i went in miserable and angry but i came back more akin to a true indigo child (what margaret essentially is). the movie activated my psi-abilities and generally made me into a kinder person over all. at the risk of sounding like a shill (and no, idgaf whether you buy the tickets or not) i feel the calling to experience it in imax as i feel like that technology is capable of carrying additional signals than the cruddy movie theater i went to watch the premiere in did.
