There has been a lot of Abrahamic influence and fixation on a personal God, since a lot of Sanatana Dharma is less than 1000 years old. They claim an early start date, but that doesn't mean much when it's usually a very ancient text that is vague, and then a commentary from 1500ad that gives it all its meaning. Of course in such situations they pretend the commentary always existed. You can also look up "JBDs - Jewish born dharmis" in the Sampradaya Sun, which is an ISKCON journal. The whole organization is run by kikes who put Jewish holidays in the official calendar but no Ramadan for example lol. Advaita is pretty kino though.
