How do I protect myself against curses? Every time I look it up, people just say to pray it away, but that clearly doesn't work. Do I need to pray with a bible open? Will crosses work to repel demons?
>>42553905I've found that prayer works when paired with some other more active methods, like making your own holy water for sprinkling, consecrating a small knife whether to create a boundary or to carry as an amulet, and just basic smudging with sage or sweetgrass or cedar (tobacco too but not to inhale like in smoking). I use the Lord's Prayer, prayers to Saint Michael the Archangel, Bible passages that are relevant to the task, etc. There are other more involved methods that are sometimes messy, eg witch bottle, using poppets to act as spiritual decoys that "take hits" on your behalf. I don't know what religion you are, so it's up to you to find your own preferred prayers.

Well, I can tell you about one trick if you're actually dealing with sorcerers.Make a straw doll and strike through the center with a silver nail. Put a drop of your blood on the nail then keep the doll on your person. If you get cursed while carrying the doll, the curse will fall upon the doll and not you. Disppse of the doll once it has been used and make a new one. If you can't get a silver nail you can silver plate an iron nail or put a silver coin in the chest of the doll. Platinum works too.
