Naked Lunch & The Nova Trilogy by William S. Burroughs. He really got it better than anyone and his paranormal observations are second to none!

Start with Agrippa and move backwards through Trithemius

Anything on NLP and self hypnosis.
Anything on dowsing.
At least one book on the basics of learning remote viewing.
Anything on Qigong.
At least one book on basic Tarot reading and interpretation, along with a deck.
A King James Bible. Don't be religious about it, the book has a lot of power.
On that note, prayer books can be useful.
Use your intuition for any specific magick books. There's a ton of them. Internet archive has a few of the older ones available for free.
2 books I started with:
Modern Magick: Twelve Lessons in the High Magickal Arts
Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft

>Looking to start a library on magick and the occult.
Well, let's see what I can remember...
>The Discoverie of Witchcraft by Reginald Scot
>The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries by W.Y. Evans-Wentz
>Most anything released by Joseph H. Peterson, Jake Stratton-Kent, Stephen Skinner, and David Rankine
>Keys of Solomon, Book of Abramelin, Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses
>The Long-Lost Friend by George Hohman
>Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter J. Carroll
Personally speaking?
>Six Ways by Aidan Wachter
>Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman
>The Book of Were-wolves by Sabine Baring-Gould
>Most things by Katharine Briggs, but especially her Dictionary/Encyclopedia of Fairies
I'm actually missing a lot here but I tried to cover things I would consider most important for my own library, even if I don't personally agree with some of them.

>Modern Magick: Twelve Lessons in the High Magickal Arts
>Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft
Ah shit. Yes. I haven't read them, but I know a lot of people do start with them, so... yeah, add them to the list.

>all those books
>can't prove he has magic irl
lol, i love /x/ for this reason, everyone "knows magic", but no one can actually manifest it, even the masons can only conjure up cheap tricks.
>>
>>42562616
Who the fuck asked for proof of magic?
>>42562472
Historically, magicians used the Book of Psalms for certain spells. Can't recall them using anything else though.
>>
>>42562247
that's not magic though, that's power.
they want magic, so they can manipulate God, not power so they can be with God.

most people on /x/ and irl dont even realize that magic is the practice of talking to God in a state where God wont destroy them, as servants.
while the bible makes it possible to sit with God and talk to him as a son and father.
dont tell them this though, they can't even fathom the idea of having the power of heaven (which is what they're trying to get) and not having to pay a heavy price for it (because Jesus already paid for it)

all magic leads to the judaism, and judaism leads to moses, and moses to Jesus, they want the long way round, two blinded eyes for the way.
they're gonna miss Jesus when he's gone, they're gonna miss him in their walk, they're gonna miss him in their talk, they're gonna miss him when he's gone.

>Who the fuck asked for proof of magic?
no one, i said no one can actually manifest it.
i didn't ask for proof, i made a declaration.

if they had real power they wouldn't be wasting their time on /x/, they'd be out living their lives, but they're not, they/you're here, posting books that are sterile and innert in power, leading people to snares so that the masons and other workers of darkness, those who actually have power, can come in and capture them.

what's posted here is a lie, there's no power here without a price, but that's not something they'll tell you, thats why everyone on /x/ doesn't have it, they just have books and theories.

while the ones with power have blood on their hands from all the sacrifices they've made to get it.

Honestly, go to a second hand book store and look at their metaphysics section. Just leaf through everything and pick something that sticks out to you. If we all read the same books, we're gonna become an echo chamber. I prefer retards screeching at each other than a choir sperging in union.

Does anyone remember an old GeoCities website called, "Kui Vaga Pai"?

I found it way way back in the early internet days and it was weirdly fascinating; talking about all thing esoteric, training in telepathy, telekinesis and so on. It was allowing people to join as students.

When I finally thought to apply, it vanished.

Or maybe I dreamed it.

>are books real
It’s how some of us learn
Nothing makes me happier than reading Antony C Sutton or the creature from Jekyll island. Writers like Blavatsky are PHD tier metaphysics and Noam Chomsky has been exposed as a limited hangout (manufacturing consent still being something I consider worth reading) but the list is a good starting point. If someone wanted a basic primer into everything esoteric, I’d get the secret teachings of all ages by manly hall. It shows a common thread weaving a few of the mystery schools together

Did you not download Ape of Thoth's library? The MEGA archive really is a great resource. It's the one thing I respected about the guy.
>>42562564
I second Six Ways. I don't see it often recommended and I really enjoyed it (though I don't believe I finished it). It's deeply helpful with a more plastic application of the various things you'll learn as you read around.
>>42562616
If "Magic", in your world, is totally informed by Hollywood, children's books and depleted "fairy tales" no longer really taught to young people or some priest, I'm afraid you're really not doing things worth caring about. The reality here is if you really figure it out, you can just sort of walk around in public and decide what does or doesn't happen to a certain degree. Everything can start swirling around you and align as you prefer so long as you learn to align other aspects of yourself and so long as the right circumstances align. But you can't just fucking walk down some sidewalk and Fireball a guy that looks at you funny and for a variety of reason. Again, if that's your understanding of Magic, you've watched too much shitty TV.
Magic is primarily Hormonal and Psychological. Physiological responses are integral to Magic. If you don't experience a physiological sensation, you're not doing le magic.
The funny thing is none of the books will teach you this and there are many, many people out there who will spring out of the woodwork to attempt to convince you that you're not as confident as you think you are about that.
