I can prove "they" are lying about space with one simple fact. An object twice as far as it was appears a quarter the visual size it was. Yet "they" claim the Moon and Sun appear the same size in the sky because the Sun is 400x bigger but 400x further away. Yet if that were true the sun would actually appear 400x smaller than the moon due to the inverse square law in optics.
