Normal people don't have any protection against spirits, only psychics have. But when the spirit is stronger than the psychic, the psi also doesn't help him.
That's where religion comes into the game. The idea is: you are protected against spirits when a being that is stronger than the spirits grants you protection. Like a deity. In return for this help you give offerings and worship to the deity. That's the usual way people do it (like in India where people deal with spirits and deities on a daily base).

But cant spirits cling onto someone? I heard salt helps and alcohol makes you more "open".
Also, how do I know which deity is the "right one"? (I guess this is a dumb question because everyone wonders the same)

From memory and things i have read and heard there and there, there have been cases of reported possession after consuming drugs. Also being an alcoholic and a junkie attract low vibes entities. This being said, this is all stuff i have read i have 0 experience of this or opinions on it. Drinking is just very very bad don't do it.

it was most probably a seizure. Don't believe people who treat substances as innocuous. Nothing is innocuous, especially no drugs of any kind.
Just wanted to add people with NDE sometimes report gaining psychic abilities of some kind. Don't know about concussion. I would think it rather makes u closer to other potential level of realities if these things trully exist
