God, source, whatever higher power you believe in, gave you the gift of your life and you scorn that very gift, you. It is better to try to accept whatever it is that feels negative within yourself, learn from whatever lessons it teaches you, and remember you are worthy despite your own negative viewpoint. If dark and light is a spectrum then maybe your current position shows to you how far you can go in the other direction.
