Hi, visitor from /tg/ here. I'm in the early stages of brainstorming a project, and it's led me here for something like a reality check. In brief, I'm thinking of a solo system about trying (and likely failing) to maintain the mental health of a team in a protracted high-stress situation, with the complication that the team is primarily under the dice's control, with the player running damage control for the trouble the characters get themselves into.As you might guess, even if you're not familiar with TTRPGs, compressing a convincing simulacra of a person into a table of random results is an incredibly difficult endeavor, and something of a holy grail in TTRPG design. Since getting a doctorate in psychology is a little overkill for a project like this, I'm looking at more archetypal alternatives, one of which being the use of the major arcana as a personality matrix. In abstract, the idea is to take a 3-card reading for each member of the crew, which serves as their dominant personality traits, then on each character's "turn", they pick one of those cards at random to determine the table they roll on, with their stress level and relations with the other crew members modifying the result to decide exactly what kind of trouble they get up to. Then, a sufficient build-up of stress can cause a card to reverse, representing the calcification of stress into a long-term trauma, which either comes with a permanent modifier to that card or a shift to a second, much worse table.So, am I completely off my rocker here? Especially if I tried to cut 2 to make it fit neatly on a 20-sided die (gut instinct says World and either Fool or Tower)? I gather that this is outside the usual application of the tarot, so I guess my question is if it's too far to be a good model.

Like everything was put into perspective. Like how all the different parts of my life were connected it. I feel more sure of myself. I feel more intuitive. It wierd, idk how to describe it. I feel like I got shown the "final truth" or understanding of everything that had ever happened to me in life. The blonde's hair can almost seem fire-like, kinda like yellow with orange in it, but I've had some major semi-lucid dreams with a watery like enviroment, like us skinny dipping in some big pond deep in the woods under a starry night in one dream or that other one with the Jesus-looking figure where I was first consumed by a holographic-looking desert storm under a bright blue sky that then inverted into a big blue deep sea that also engulfed me before my encounters with them. I've had other readers mention a lady meditating in a burning sanctuary and another two people sensing a water-based fae. I think the blonde's eyes were blue, so maybe she's a mix, or maybe we have some overlapping features going on. I just know I feel most at peace when it's raining, so who knows?

Infinite possibility spaces violently changing frequently. The amount you bet and your concept of self worth-ratio seem to be a factor here as well. Sports predictions are absolute chaos. Maybe astrology is better for predicting it?
