I remember when this was consistently near the bottom of tons of conspiracy icebergs and honestly always wondered about it. If our media was lying about them, how would we know? What our media does report on them is often so absurd and so biased, and paints them as pathetically as possible.
Denis rodman(did i spell it right? The basketball dude)is or was, dunno if he still lives, friends with lil kimBut dont idealize north korea just for contrarianism sake. Theyre still pretty shitty. Its just that south korea is really that much worse. All the souless capitalism of the jew ass given to already souless bugmen. I guess the only good thing is theres no darkies there

>>42590761North Korea basically just practices Neo-Feudalism, like 19th century meeting modern day. A lot of it comes from an inferiority complex developed hundreds of years ago, coupled with being scared shitless from war. Many of the stories said about it are probably hard to verify considering lack of witnesses and financial incentives, but I would probably estimate that it's largely a society that in the rural parts lives in the 19th century off subsistence farming, and in the urban parts is closer to maybe 1970s China or something. You have to understand that they are very protective of their culture, in the idea that they feel themselves to be the last pure expression of the Korean race fighting against imperial hordes. So, when the state kills dissenters, puts them to labor, bans foreign imports and restricts travel, they believe they're protecting some sort of harmony that would be disrupted and tainted. So the only things that are let in are heavily vetted.
>>42591317Kinda following the daodejing. One of the last aphorisms tells that were it up to him, he wouldnt let people travel to the neighboring village or even see it from afar. Means the masses of people are easily agitated by needless desires and they always see the other side is greener so they toil away harder just to get the same thing they already had but different package
>>42591317>You have to understand that they are very protective of their culture, in the idea that they feel themselves to be the last pure expression of the Korean race fighting against imperial hordes. So, when the state kills dissenters, puts them to labor, bans foreign imports and restricts travel, they believe they're protecting some sort of harmony that would be disrupted and tainted.I mean no. Not really. That's what they say but as many defectors that made it out have reported it's just the Kim family and military higher ups being ridiculous hedonists and intentionally fleecing the people and living it up for all it's worth while the people know all this and know the nationalism and divinity of the Kim family is all bullshit but pretend to believe it because their whole family will be imprisoned or killed if they don't. It's effectively just Kim and goons personal playground and they all know this but can't admit it outright. Nobody actually believes the rhetoric there
>>42591526seems both can be true, no? you can set up a system for whatever reasons earlt on and then make sure it continues to function exactly as planned so that it never fails and the elites can benefit off of it. though something funny is kim jong un is of partial japanese ancestry himself..
>>42590761North Korea best Korea
>>42590761North Korea is kumiho-free. The other "Korea" is run by them.
>>42590849>Its just that south korea is really that much worse. All the souless capitalism of the jew ass given to already souless bugmen. I dunno what it is with east asians, but they ALL seem to love slaving away for corporations. Commies and zoomers love to complain about how terrible capitalism is in the west, but it's SO much worse in east asia. Those people will literally work themselves to death. South Korea is by far the most fucked up though, and it's not because of capitalism, it's because of their hivemind beauty standards. Plastic surgery is so common that parents will get it for their kids as a high school graduation present.
>>42590761Your mistake is thinking, "If they're saying such bad and absurd things, maybe it's not so real and they're doing better?"No, the truth is, without knowing the full story, things are much worse there. We only get bits and pieces, so use that to your advantage. For example, if, on average, 10% of victims escaped from serial killers, and if we had 10 such survivors, we could assume there were between 1 and 10 serial killers in the area they escaped from. However, while that could be true, if it's a systematic phenomenon, we could hypothesize there are 100 or more criminals, but that would be absurd at first glance, wouldn't it?
>>42591361Interesting take. Some truth to this methinks.
>>42591572do they all have such short arms?
>>42590761Obvious fake photo is fake
>>42591361Are you being genuine? This cannot be an honest reading of that book. North Korea relies entirely on force. That would go entirely against the premise of the Tao. There is some truth in what you're saying, but it would have to be like a mind prison. The king would persuade the people to be happy with nothing. I think the west is further along in that regard.
>>42590761I have IRL acquaintances who have visited both countries.South Korea they described as a "shoddy knockoff version of Japan".North Korea they described as something straight from the pages of a dystopian novel, very creepy and uncanny.Glorifying shithole dictatorships is one of the dumbest political contrarianisms that exist in civilized world.
>>42590761I don't know. They seem, from the outside, largely unaffected by the poisons of modernity, but that's because they aren't modern. I don't really care what happens to their folk as they aren't mine. It'd be neat to go there one day to climb the mountains.
>>42590761>so much visual light smogDoesn't look utopic at all, it would be utopic if you could see the night sky.
Funfact about NK; its actually the legitimate continuation of the original Korean state, which heavily centralized government was decapitated following Seoul annexation by the Japanese, as the first dictator Kim Il-Sung was elected by the remaining highest government officials during the ensuing crisis and power vacuum. SK in comparison has been an occupation government since its inception, first under the Japanese, then under the USA who never truly let them go and still use them as a proxy.Just a fun tidbit of info that put things into perspective, as the current narrative is obviously to give full legitimacy to South Korean in spite of North Korea legal legitimacy over the peninsula.
>>42592799this is just not true and not grounded in reality, like much of this thread, but I guess I'll waste my time. The first count it loses on is no member of the royal family from pre-annexation joined any type of DPRK positions of power, and despite interest in returning to ROK the new constitution abolished the monarchy and all of the royal families basically everything. So, the desire was for the actual royal family to join the ROK but weren't allowed by Rhee, more on him later, and none went to the DPRK. Although, there is an extremely distant link to the royal family from Rhee himself. There were a few elites from the empire with continuity to the ROK, but once again just none to the DPRK.So, maybe you think that the royal family and elites don't count and it's really members of the korean provisional government (government in exile) that matters. You're wrong here as well, Syngman Rhee was the first president of the exile government and the first ROK president. Of the exile government that would take up roles in the government of either country, almost all of them went to ROK but one who I can't even think of.Il-sung had no role in government in either the exile or korean empire, he was only a leader of some guerilla group and communist shit. I genuinely don't know how you could have come to this conclusion if you knew anything about the history of Korea
>>42592949To add a fun fact to this. Originally the clergy and capitalist were centered in the north and the commies in the south before they got split and swapped.Nevertheless North Korea is not a utopia of anykind. The goal of the human race should be the end of any communist state as well as cultural marxist infections and the annihilation of all leftist thought. However the US was a paradise and shit like the great chicago fire was done to cover up this history.
>>42592964
>>42592964redpill me on the great chicago fire
>>42592608>South Korea they described as a "shoddy knockoff version of Japan"Sounds about right. Before the Japs invaded, Korea was a backwater shithole. And even today, even though they're known for their tech companies, all their shit is basically B-tier versions of Japanese brands. I still have no idea how Samsung became such a huge brand, their phones fucking suck and the only decent things they make are SSDs and NVMEs.>>42592964>However the US was a paradise and shit like the great chicago fire was done to cover up this history. It was great when we still had the negroes contained and didn't let women work or vote. Giving those two groups the same rights as everyone else doomed this country.
