Most people get one thing wrong - they base their understanding of the simulation on The Matrix. It is much worse than that - we do not have a physical form in the reality above. We are simply a program in a machine, possibly withing another machine or maybe even deeper. There is no escaping the simulation because we only exist within it.

Oddly, after one of my earliest times doing mushrooms, I was sleeping after a mild trip. I had some dream about dudes coming in to my apartment, which at the time I had just recently moved in to, living alone for the first time. Home invasion has always been a huge fear of mine. So maybe there was an emotional element, but just before the dudes made it to my bedroom door, I managed to jerk myself out of the dream. I had actually sat myself up while waking, and during that motion, I saw a blue, electrical looking grid over everything, much like OP’s pic. It was just a blip in time, but it felt so weird that it happened and seemed to fall right between dreaming and waking.
