There's a whistle whenever I breathe so it's hard to focus while I meditate

What can I do?

There's a hole in the bridge between my nostrils so there's a little whistle whenever I breathe and it's pretty distracting

sounds like an excellent opportunity to practice focus despite distractions.
excuses for meditation are very similar to the excuses for exercise running.
"I need to have the right clothes, the right environmental conditions, the right music, the right bla bla bla bla"
once you go deep enough, the whistling joins the material world when you retract from it so it's a pretty moot question. you have an obstacle, like the rest of us

Focus on the whistle then. It doesn't matter what you focus on, the breath is just a convenient thing that you always have with you.

Having an in-built distraction is a blessing in disguise. You'll actually progress faster than someone who doesn't have that. There is a sweet spot for it, but generally, more challenging meditation induces more changes faster.

Anyway, be weary of any reason not to meditate. Meditation is hard so your mind will constantly try to generate reasons not to do it. This is why it's most of the time done inherently as a religious practice. Most people have to do it with faith, choosing to meditate despite coming up with a valid reason not to and/or encountering difficulties while meditating that discourage them from continuing. Whatever thought comes up, if it leads to not wanting to meditate, it's just your mind coming up with a new trick to not have to meditate.

See it as the gift that it is. Focus on it, study it, learn at what parts of the breath if happens and which ones it doesn't. Try to breathe in a way that it doesn't appear etc. See it come and go.

Some of my best meditation sessions have been when I started hearing all kinds of strange overtones and resonant frequencies in my oum chanting. Part of the point of meditation is that you can hear/feel something that you can't normally and you can go deeper. That extra sensitivity is something you cultivate and eventually take with you out of the meditation.

Learn to focus with it and you will have stronger than average focus.
