General rule for navigating religions: the more intricate its art, the more idol-worship it contains.

as far as I can tell and this is coming from a retard on 4chan - Yamantaka is a pretty cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything

That some very angry buddhist guy will go reverse-nirvana for a wikipedia searcher pagan because he allegedly said that vajrayana is zeus(allegedly)

He is NOT leaving samsara
>>
>>42615088
i mean, this is one of the traditions that asserts samsara and nibbana are identical..

They're not idols. They were wrathful spirits/gods that was instead bound by Guru Rinpoche (the founder of Tibetan Buddhism) to instead protect the Dharma and it's practitioners. They're intricate because they display a bunch of esoteric symbolism. I know it's hard for christians to understand since they're some of the dumbest most narrow-minded brainwashed people around.

Aesthetically I've been drawn to it for many years, especially its Japanese sect known as Shingon.
But it's impossible to practice it without initiation and real-life teacher.
Now, the Gelug sect is mostly ethnically gatekept and it's very strict. Three other sects only exist in and around Tibet. The aforementioned Shingon is in Japan only, a similar one is somewhere in China. The only sect available in the west is a branch Karma Kagyu, which was established and led by Lama Ole Nydahl (a danish guy, died like 2 months ago aged 85, had multiple wives and children, so not really my idea of a spiritual leader if i have to be honest).
I visited a center of their sect in my city once and honestly didn't feel anything outstanding, it were just normie new agers vibing and shit. Bunch of clearly promiscuous women there as well. I like to assume it's just a case of the usual western bastardization, but I dunno honestly.
Some of the books written by Tibetan masters are pretty interesting, but just reading them won't do much to you beyond entertaining your intellect and imagination.

Engaging with anyone talking about "idol worship" is engaging with a hardcore, literalist Christian. You will get nowhere and they won't attempt to understand. They want to call you a slur from their commandments, not help.

ok... cool. and?

>yet another buddhist preaching thread

It's Buddhism in fancy cursive writing. It's uses Yogic methods instead of early methods traditionally used by Theravada practitioners.

Do you spend all day staring at 4chan waiting for threads about Buddhism to appear so you can complain about them? From the way you talk my suspicion is that there's only one of you who keeps talking about how Buddhists are just as annoying as Christians even though Christians have a near permanent general on /x/, while posts about Buddhism come and go in bursts, and I only notice them occasionally.
