I was thinking of a loop where an old, wise person who knows too much ends up walking into a cycle that wipes his memory. Reborn, he is placed at the exact same, now-abandoned spot where his old self originally started walking. Later on, he becomes the same wise old man, only to end up trapped in a loop where he keeps forgetting and remembering forever. What do you guys think of this trope?
