I think Greer has good intentions, but he's human. The ppl who are using alien tech see him as a threat, so I think they come to him with classified info/tech as proof, then tell him lies to get him off track.For example, someone shows up to him proving they have high level military clearance. Might even show him a cool gadget as proof. Then feed him lies which he then spreads.He also kind of went woke. I saw a clip of him saying a lot of alien species discourse is "racist" bc they are usually all white. Doubt he would say that if they were all brown/black.
