Have you considered living without home internet and without a phone? I don't own a house, instead I own 2 apartments in the same building. 1 larger as a home and 1 smaller as an office. So in principle I could just cancel home internet and use the internet only for work or serious research in my office. Then I'd keep my home completely cut off from communication technology. No tv, no phone, no internet. This way I could focus more on reading books, expanding my mind and breaking free from my internet addiction, which includes shitposting on 4chan such as this very post.There's only one problem with this otherwise perfect plan: I have a wife who is addicted to doomscrolling. Should I divorce and follow the dream?
One time my computer broke and i had to wait months to get a new one. It drove me insane, i kept having withdrawals until i finally broke the fever and could function as a person and regained my attention span

Can't the government and CIA have purposely made everything online so you have to have an online presence for anything. I cannot get a housing application done because everything is online and whatever I do online is blocked. All I have wanted for years is a nice place but I can't get that because some glowies are jealous. If I had my little place, sure. I could just use public wifi and stuff.
