The Wheel NDE story is nightmare fuel. It's haunted me for years. I think about when I don't want to think about it.

I wonder if this is how quantum immortality actually works.
The guy is basically describing Samsara. It's even depicted as a wheel.

and that whole Ezekiel trip about a wheel on the ground with wheels within it. The NDE bugs me because he describes the wheel as very uncaring, it just wants to sort this space time error and doesn't give a fuck about you. and that you'll shit yourself when you see it because you'll recognize it.

I guess I could share this experience with this thread
>be me, avid dreamer
>have had several dreams that seem like parallel lives
>have a very vivid one the other night
>similar to the one we are in now
>some differences of course
>still lived with family
>I had recently taken up a new form of transportation
>hang gliding? flying bike? no motors, but sailing in the air
>takes some time but had started to use it to visit friends an hour+ away
>same friends from here
>its unusual but not unheard of in the dream to do this
>have vivid memories of the first time I did it
>learning landmarks
>getting better at it
>others commenting on it as I did it
>at the dinner table talking about it
>suddenly realize Im dreaming?
>but this isnt a dream, I can tell these are my memories
>slowly fade to waking up
>the memories still feel real

if nde stories were legit and not just products of a dying mind releasing hallucinogenic chemicals to ease a frightened animal then there would be consistency but there is none.

Replies like these just signal to everyone that you're an npc/hylic. Get the fuck off the board.

What biological mechanisms or selective pressures would lead to an organism developing tripping balls at death? How does that help in any conceivable way with that organism's survival?

I only saw blackness, felt relatively calm and time seemed to pass normally (only a few seconds) and I came back absent of outside prompting.

it's not sentient. it's the natural machinery of the universe

QI is when you, from you perspective, are smoothly moved to another similar world as this one. This is not like this.

What an absolute classic. After 2 NDEs can confirm shit like that happens. Though, it tends to be quite different for each individual
>First NDE, be 13
>heart stopped, my mother called an ambulance
>meanwhile I'm laying on a couch, dead.
>a messenger of the creator, some kind of bodhisattva, or higher being appeared in this infinite expanse after I entered into singularity.
(long story, maybe I will tell it one day)
>"You have an important purpose in your world, you cannot die until you are over the age of 20"
A lot more was said but that is too personal so soz m'tards.
>3 years later, attempt to make an H. I made deep cuts all over my body, ending by stabbing both my jugulars
>Watching the arterial spray splash off the mirror in front of me was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating.
>Bedtime now
>When i woke up the next day, queen sized mattress was completely saturated and there was a thick as fuck pool of blood all the way underneath the entire mattress and streams going along the floorboards. Took fucking forever to clean.
>surgeon fren comes that day, doesn't believe that it happened last night. Becomes irate.
>"All the wounds have undergone at least 2 weeks of healing and I can no longer give you stitches.
>leaves

I still have the deeper scars like the ones on my neck.
I really should write a book about my life, not like anyone that doesn't already know me would believe more than %10 but it would make for good "fiction" at least. Some of the shit I have seen would make most of your basement dwelling heads fucking explode. Tannhausergate.exe

NDE, just like drug-induced OOBE, are nothing more but dreamlike visions your mind creates when it doesn't receive normal input from the body and its surroundings. This is why an isolation tank causes similar phenomena on people who are otherwise healthy and didn't take any drugs.
Since NDE occurs only when the brain is still alive and undamaged enough so that people who experienced it can recall and describe their experience, it cannot be counted as paranormal since it's an occurence that is well documented and explainable.
I understand many people are afraid of death - death is something unknowable. You don't know when will it come, if it's going to be painful or not, and nobody who died managed to come back. Death is final. Abusing an obsolete definition of death (heart stopping) meaning death is only used by idiots, since today we know how to restart the heart and can even use machines to work as both lungs and heart. But we can't revive a dead brain which carries all information that makes us. A crushed head means certain death. People who commit suicide target their heads for a reason, they don't tend to stab themselves into their hearts.
NDE is a natural phenomenon, lucid dreaming is such as well - "astral projection" is also lucid dreaming which differs only by the dream content (created by the sleeper) and the way people tend to use to fall asleep. That's why zoomies here avoid using "lucid dreaming" or "I astral projected using ketamine/other arylcyclohexylamine drug". I could write a book about my OOBE experiences and astral travels just by using easily available DXM, let alone other things like methoxetamine. I await the day when I'll have proper set&setting for another intense travel.

Pic of scars?
>>
>>42659494
I'd ask for hospital paperwork he should have received. Scars are nothing, I woke up with one after dreaming (while I was around 5 yo) that some hooded, old man (he basically looked like some sage or wizard) implanted some crystal-like, light-emitting object near my heart. Then I woke up and there was an already healed scar (I never had any operation). It faded over many years. That was just a dream though, a convincing one though. I probably got that scar when I was younger and only paid attention to it after the dream.

Since NDEs wildly contradict each other - you have no reason to take this as true at all.
>>
>>42658202
Your normal daily experiences of the world are also the product of chemicals in the brain- you can either be reductive about ordinary life as well as about NDEs and say none of it is real, or you can say that both ordinary and extraordinary experiences are no less real from being described by brain chemistry. You can't have it both ways just because you want to.
>>
>>42661481
>because NDE reports contains contradictions, each individual NDE report should be dismissed.
lol
