This is NOT a flat earth debate thread, this thread is to discuss an odd trend in the flat earth community. Why do flat earthers believe that the earth being a flat plane with a dome over it is proof of god's greatness? And why do they frequently espouse that there's nothing else out there, just the earth, the heavens above, and the underworld? If anything, such a limited and tightly controlled environment suggests a very finite god, and that this place is akin to a science experiment. If anything, flat earth should be pushing people towards the inclination to believe the god of this world is NOT omnipotent, and that surely there exists much greater things beyond the heavens, which by their own admission is just a finite physical realm above earth. But strangely enough, the opposite happens. Upon finding out our realm is flat, flat earthers instead seem to rejoice at the lack of an infinite cosmos, and sneer at the though of breaking through the firmament. Instead of expanding people's consciousness to possibilities that lie beyond the reaches of the wicked gods of this world, mainstream flat eartherism makes people embrace being lab rats who worship their scientists.
>>42660001The only argument to work for the greatness of God, is that earth is HxH like and we have an infinity of lands and places to go beyond and beyond.Otherwise, this shit is too small and i don't like it.
>>42660001Esau gambit, both are wrong. They want you ti discuss about the extremes and disregard more plausible scenarios. The people pushing flat earth the hardest are also pushing the scientific view the hardest. ThinkThe answer is also irrelevant. It’s the same arguing about communism vs capitalism. It’s irrlevant, the point is to keep everyone arguing
>>42660001>Why do flat earthers believe that the earth being a flat plane with a dome over it is proof of god's greatness?Only christians do that.>And why do they frequently espouse that there's nothing else out there, just the earth, the heavens above, and the underworld?Only christians do that.

>>42660905what you posted is just christian cosmology with a hindu skin. If you haven't figured out that every religion in this world leads to the exact same destination(one which isn't good) and worships the same gods, I don't know what to tell you.
>>42660933Did I not post in the OP that this is not a debate thread?! I know the world is flat, but that's not a fucking good thing.
>>42660266Either way his point seems to be the use of belief systems to prevent desire to escape this realm or even make an attempt to do so.Until we do, we're all still stuck contemplating and speculating. I believe many people are tired of all the speculation, even if some of it has a modicum of scientific backing to it.We're ultimately spiteful creatures, and use it for benevolent and malevolent reasons. If someone, including a supposed creator tells you,>You can't escapethen you can bet your sweet candy-ass it's our duty as humans to weaponize our spite benevolently and say,>Oh yeah? We'll see about that.Someone/something sets an arbitrary boundary in-front of you, you're encouraged to game it and cross it.
>>42660965>I don't know what to tell youSeems like. I have my own knowledge about metaphysics, based on decades of studies, research and meditation. I don't need advice from Anons.
>>42661008>get btfo>heh actually i have 30 years of experience so i'm not btfo!
>>42661020That's a dumb post, Anon."Uuuh, you got BTFO - because I say so!"Try better.

>>42660001Do flat earth Christian’s see round earth Christian’s as heretics?
>>42660001well lets do a quick summary of both shall we?flat earth:>100% backed by empirical evidenceglobe earth:>0% backed by empirical evidence, only backed by pagan greek cosmologybasically all they did was observe the celestial sphere and did a reification fallacy by saying the ground is just like that thing we observe in the sky. On top of another reification fallacy which is Erastothenes sticks and shadows measurements But you first have to get passed the pigeon holeing of >REFRACTION >MODEL >REFRACTION >MODEL>REFRACTION >MODEL>ERRMMMM WHAT ABOUT REFRACTION AND MODEL?!???!??!sorry but maps are usually rectangles and circles, the physical earth isnt a rectangle or circleand if you said refraction you dont know what it actually is.What comes from wikipedia and Thomas Andrew Young (san diego state university) on terrestial refraction is a whole other thing that gets torn apart, none of that shit will ever apply to the horizon, nor a single medium>ERRMMMM WE HAVE A MODEL OF THE BALL THEREFORE EARTHS A BALL REIFICATION FALLACYIt only shows you dont value empricism, I like to base my reality on empirical evidence not cartoons. I also dont claim a dome I say theres container for gas pressure>IF WE DONT LIVE IN A VACUUM O' SPACE BALLS, THAT MEANS GOD IS NOT ALMIGHTYI dont get it
>>42663650>Firstly the chief of NASA at the time put it on his gravestone>he believes anything from NASARemember - its all fake and lies, unless I'm stupid enough to think it says I'm right.
