The 90s felt fine for me and so did the 2000s. Even 2010 and 2011 felt perfectly fine, but right before 2012, on New Year’s Eve of December 2011, I felt this growing sensation of dread and impending grief. It was as if I knew I was about to lose something very important, but I didn’t know what. I remember watching the ball drop on TV and feeling extremely sad, and I even told myself, “I miss 2011,” not knowing why. I didn’t notice any immediate visual changes, or at least nothing obvious. It was just a sensation I can’t quite describe.
But eventually, later that year, I started noticing some things… Nickelodeon changed their logo from the orange splat to a simple lowercase font with absolutely no personality to it, as if it were a logo made for a business company rather than a children’s TV channel. I remember not liking it at all. Another thing I noticed was that YouTube had changed its entire aesthetic from a white background with colorful buttons and a shiny logo to a dull gray design with black buttons, and the bright red logo also lost that shine and instead had a darker, more maroon gradient to it. I was upset about that change too. A few months go by, and Windows 8 comes out, and compared to Windows 7 it was hideous. No more gradients, no more shine, not even a Start button anymore. Then Google removed the bevel from their logo and made it flat. So many horrible design decisions happening absolutely everywhere, as if every company in the world got together in a room and decided to make everything bland and depressing.
Fast forward a few years, and things are getting worse and worse and worse, and it seems like most people aren’t even noticing it or even giving a shit.
Aside from all of the shitty oversimplified and minimalistic aesthetic changes, there has also been a sort of change in the air. Trees seem less green, the sky less blue, the air less fresh, etc. Anyone else experience this or something similar?

To summarize everything, nothing has felt truly real at all since 2011.

my pattern recognition has been on overdrive since like 1997 and I notice all the changes, including some you would probably deny

all your examples are just part of the corporate enshittification of reality, those people do literally get together in rooms and decide those things sometimes, but most of it is just monkey see monkey do, e.g. how these days every piece of writing is overflowing with acronyms in parentheses next to every single term (NTEST) treating you like you're a fucking retard

the shitwits have no good or justifiable reason for doing that, but it's human instinct to just mindlessly copy what your peers do

sooner this species goes extinct the better

Yeah, I remember feeling somewhat weird vibes in 2011, then have a notable landmark event in 2012(getting home internet for the first time) and then feeling existentially weird at just 10 or 12 years old. So it is weird that these feelings corresponded to this significant timeperiod.

it's run by a different race with a radically different language and culture than the whites and jews running things in the west, so the practices aren't the same but they're definitely doing their worst

you wouldn't call it enshittification, but if you get to know it well enough, like I do, you'll see it's actually much worse in japan than just bland products from google and microsoft, et al

japanese corporations ruin everything they touch, most of all the entertainment media
under their stewardship there's nothing left in japan but consumer culture based on the most formulaic and extremely infantilized fucking trash imaginable

>>
>>42670372
The slimings are part of the directors/producers fetish. And you may not be understanding me, the reason I mention hollywood using greenscreen is to point out the color of the slime. It being green makes it easier to isolate and edit the output color to be something else, like white, similar to the color of cum...

It was actually Kony 2012 where things got weird. I think it was like the first internet glowie psyop, and it was a massive success. Therefore now the psyops are out in full force.
It even had similar vibes to covid with dancing used to promote it (which is a form of shamanism). And the guy who ran it had a MKUltra style mental breakdown where he ran around a city naked screaming nonsense.
>>
>>42663632
For me, it ended in 2006, although I recognize that many of the changes you mention materialized years later. Since then, I feel the fabric of reality is "unstable"—for lack of a better term. It's as if it's even shifting or giving off a fluid, unsettling feeling that didn't exist before. Before, reality seemed firmer, more colorful, stable, welcoming, like being at home. Today, I feel like I'm in foreign territory.

It's this. People always point to 2012 because of the mayan calendar psyop, and things did shift in 2012 further, but it's source was from late 2011. I still don't know exactly what happened, or if smart phones becoming an every day item for everyone (at least where I was from at the time) but something pure evil happened in late 2011. I have heard of other anons who perceived it as well. It felt like the death of all things good. I still don't recognize the world ever since that time, everything is just a pale mockery of before.

It withstood the rot for a long time but it is capitulating right now faster than I ever thought it would. I would expect Japan to be similar to Korea's situation within the next 5 years (complete feminism overdose, gender psychosis, maybe even shilling for brown people if they're super unlucky).

I personally do not remember feeling off then, but I was like 3-4 years old then. That being said, I do have 2 odd things from around then I recall.

1st one is a remember one of those tvs that had a DVD player in it somehow playing a film without a disk in it. Like I was playing around with it or something like that, and then after taking out a Black Beauty DVD, it still played. I was young, been I still knew it was weird.

I also remember seeing the promos for a show called Castle in like 2005-2006. I remember the rooms I saw them in being set up a certain way. Many years later, I found out it apparently first aired in 2009. In 2009, my house was arranged very differently.

I want to get old people's perspective of this 2012 thing. Ever notice it's always the same age group saying these things? Millennials generally. I remember around 2012, posts on Facebook of people my age would post that they felt like time was speeding up, but that's natural. All older people say time feels faster and faster. That is not cern, that's a changing perspective. Same with this post 2012 feeling. That's not paranormal, that's aging. Nostalgia for a past time. People this age group in the 80s probably said the same thing about the 70s.

I'm open minded to the possibility of something weird having happened, but I'm pretty sceptical, since many things can be explained by age. "Things were better in my day" is such a common thing for older people to say even though in many ways things have improved.

Tldr i think it's probably a matter of perspective and I'd love it if some old people shared their thoughts on this 2012 thing.

Yeah, in their day in the 50s and 60s people were dying of diseases now curable, medical practices were less advanced and more invasive, people would get into fights all the time about dumb shit in bars way more often, people were still living off ration stamps and so on. Many things have improved. Nothing is perfect and some things have got worse, but I think I would rather live in 2026 than 1956.

Written in 23BC:
"Our parents generation, worse than our grandparents, produced us, who are worse still, and we will soon give the world children more corrupt than ourselves"

27-25BC:
"Let the reader trace how, as discipline gradually slipped, morals first gave way, then sank further and further, and finally began to plunge headlong, until we reached the present say, when we can endure neither our vices nor the remedies for them."

People have always been saying things were better.

Though I suppose those ancient fucks never knew the struggle of living in a world of flat UI design rather than rounded buttons..

The government (Obama) lifted the ban on propagandizing US citizens in 2012, since then schools and tv and movies have been pushing government propaganda to people. Before then commies were hidden, but after that they started being more open and pushing a sort of cultural rot to degrade America for their “future communist takeover”. So anything good must be corrupted so it cant brings joy to “people in a capitalist system”.

Think of what we had before then
>Star Wars
>lord of the rings
>pirates of the carribean
>Harry Potter
>Jurassic park
>terminator
>die hard
>fast and furious
>the dark knight
>Shrek
>Spider-Man
>the x men
>the MCU
>the mummy
>even fucking Twilight
All these were huge and decent and enjoyed by everybody, massive culture monuments that if you walked up to any person you didn’t know likely you could have a conversation with them about one of these. Nowadays I can’t even think of anything that’s actually new and is a major cultural monolith, unless it’s one of these being used as nostalgia bait.

What has happened to these and other franchises is a form of cultural terrorism, similar to desecrating altars or smashing statues in Ancient Rome. The purpose is to spiritually break people. Also similarly this happened with drugs, back in 2010-2012 you could get pure molly and coke and amazingly high quality week. Nowadays the weed is all shit and the coke I’ve seen is also shit, and I haven’t even heard anyone talking about molly.

There was this whole pile of amazing shit, shiny pretty stuff, that people loved and worshipped, but did not respect or even consider important to themselves, but are now discovering it was their entire culture and civilization that produced those things and that was made up of them.

I have this for a lot of things, time seems very fucked up, I know I lived in certain places for certain events and going back to the dates I moved and where I lived these dates are impossible

The 2008 crash and the “liberal soccer mom secret society”:
A lot of these weird developments have been caused by commie liberals doing weird shit in the shadows. In 2008 one family got hit really hard and two other moms started spreading around an idea like a rumor that “since some families are really struggling now, we should all kinds reduce our spending and doing expensive this, to save money, but also to be nice to them”. This caused 2 families I know to not go on a vacation, and quite a few birthday parties changed from things like going to 6 flags or lazer tag to cheap backyard stuff.

In 2012 the left started pushing kids to be hostile across party lines, the right was forced to do the same, but I know kids I hung out with all day for years started acting like assholes cuz their mom told them they were liberal and to find out who wasn’t and to fuck with them and not be friends with them.

2014 and early 2015 was like the doldrums of culture, i remeber thinking “what the fuck is going on, there is nothing, why don’t people want to do fun stuff and happy lives”?

There was an also major crackdowns on parties at colleges, take away the circuses so people can get mad about politics. This is how they got all the normie liberals so invested in this, they took away anything else they could focus on.
>>
>>42679611
Nta. I agree with most all your post except

Most those movies seem to be normie entertainment imo. Sure they are better than a lot of the new trash propaganda movies but I didn’t enjoy some of those on that list that I bothered to watch much. A movie with a 9 or 10 rating is very hard to come by no matter the generation.

Again. Just discovered another one of these strange “time doesn’t fit where it should be” incidents. And holy shit it just got even worse. I heard the movie Bright came out in 2015, now Wikipedia is saying 2017, for me it would have a had to be 2013, I remeber my dad brought us to see it for no reason and was almost hyped about it and was thinking about why boomers got so randomly hyped for things. Avatar is a good example of this, all the boomers got some download to go see that movie for largely no reason.

Other than that I was scared by the war in Syria. Russia supporting Syria, and the Otan wanting to get rid of Bachar El Assad.
If a shift happened, it was more in 2021-2022. People got vaxxed like cattle. Now before the covid mandates they were already cattle. But since, the slave mentality is the norm, and it's something that is completely accepted. They can not even pretend to not be slave. And if they do, it sounds super fake, it's ridiculous. Better do something else than to hear this shit: a marqued slave claiming, with much arguments, that he is free.

It was after 2005 you as most people are using 2012 for same reason but in reality is from 2005 onwards.
You notice that by certain stuff in the past the speed of light was 365 thousand kilometers per hour yet now somehow is 292 thousand kilometers per hour, then comes something from normal life, there is nothing to define fashion from 2005 onwards, most dress as a 90s person, others as 80s person, and so on with nothing that defines the decade eother 2000 to 2010, 2010 to 2020 and so on, then when it comes to media and entertainment you realize is all the same in some way just repackaging and redoing same old works from the past adjusted to current sensitivities, this is why some joked "if you traveled from 2030 to 2010 you wuldn't be able to pinpoint the year because all will look the same" even if you asked "which gta is the current one" and the person answered gta V you wouldn't know the year at all since has been sold and remade 3 times in almost 15 years.

The next election is gonna be a huge battle, they are trying to play it off like it won’t, but it’s gonna be bad. They want trump to “run again” or try and run jd plants, that’s not gonna cut it at all.
