I want to believe in flat earth but the only thing I don't get is why are other planets globes? If they just appear circular then that means it's facing us the entire time. You can get a telescope and barely see that planets like Jupiter form a circular shape, and you can assume it's a globe. If it's a globe then Earth is the only planet that's flat? Yes, back when we lived in hunter gatherer tribes that never went more than a couple dozen miles from their cave. For people like that, the earth might as well be flat.
>the heliocentric model is the new model
You're really stretching the definition of "new" here. The model has been in use for hundreds of years, and even before that, we knew the earth was round for 2000+ years. Safe to say, a model won't survive that long without being true.
>the burden of proof lies on you,
There's about 3000 years of proof all over the internet, free for you to look up and learn from. I don't need to do shit. Alternatively, if you believe that in those 3000 years, not a single person has ever picked up a telescope and noticed that what they see doesn't line up with what they're told, you're free to go do that and destroy the globe model once and for all.

Where's the refraction in this image?
Flat earth is just an observable everyday reality once you know how to calculate the horizon distance.

Also: Why is "satellite data" considered a proof of gravity, (which cannot be tested by laymen by the way) but taking a scale onto an airplane, or up the Burj Khalifa is not considered a proof of gravity? Really makes you wonder that the proofs of gravity are only untestable things for laymen, rather than the easy testable ones I just mentioned
>>
>>42666419
Everyone arguing this and that about refraction and whatnot, all I know is what I’ve seen with my own two eyes out on the open water on an aircraft carrier. Which is that large objects are often obscured partially by the horizon and how much/how little is determined by how far I was above the water and how far away the object was. This was most apparent when passing through the strait of Gibraltar when the mountains on either side were visibly rising above and dipping back below the horizon as we approached them and as we left them behind while passing into the Atlantic.

insane we still have flat earthers in 2026

step one is building a model, we would use that model to make predictions about where specific bodies wind up in the sky at specific times and compare it to measured results.

but of course you have no model nor predictions because its impossible to make a flat earth model that makes any sense vs what we can observe.

as just one example, antarctic 24 hour sun is impossible on a flat earth

What are you trying to say? What satellite data exactly? Who said those aren't considered proof of gravity?
>which cannot be tested by laymen by the way
Yes it can. If you live near a large mountain, you can drive to its foot with a string and a weight and some way to measure angles and see that the weight on the string is pulled towards the mountain.

>Earth is a motionless sphere at the center of the universe
That's technically not incorrect since there's no absolute reference frame, so using a reference frame with the earth as the center is just as accurate as any other. It's also not the whole truth since the earth is moving in relation to other objects.
>It explains why the atmosphere and the oceans haven't flown off into space when flying at millions of miles an hour
Why would they fly off? Go ahead and use your genius understanding of physics to explain what force would cause that.
>>
>>42691756
We don't sense it because we have no senses that can detect movement. And that's because movement by itself isn't measurable. We can measure the distance between us and some other object changing via sight or sound (radar) or we can feel the air resistance from the air that's not moving, but we can't feel movement by itself without using some other phenomenon to observe its effects. What we can feel is acceleration/force, and those are so small with your examples that we can't feel them.

dude by standing on earth we're moving through the universe in one direction, around the smbh on another, around the sun in another, AND rotating. you think we wouldn't be able to feel any of those forces constantly acting, constantly changing (in a relative sense)?
you're moving FOUR very, very different ways.
>>
>>42692578
Again, we don't feel movement, only acceleration. The acceleration we experience from that is too small for us to feel. If you disagree, the numbers are on the internet for you to do the math and prove we should actually feel it.
>>
>>42692590
imagine you're moving forward on an endless highway on the back of a truck at a constant 100kph.
you can't feel that, right, that we all agree on.
now, imagine the truck has a massive merry-go-round on it rotating at 10kph. every time you change to face "forwards" you accelerate to 110kph.
every time you pass the halfway point you decelerate to 90kph.
AND your carriage on the merrygoround is spinning.

the sun is the truck.
earth is a carriage on the merry go round.
scale up those speeds to the sun's motion through the galaxy, the earth's orbit around the sun and its own rotation.

if you think we wouldn't feel any of that then I can't help you.
>>
>>42692693
Everything you wrote until this part was correct.
>if you think we wouldn't feel any of that then I can't help you.
As for that, it depends on how big the actual forces are. If they're small enough, then no, we wouldn't feel that. You have the numbers. You can do the math to figure out if we should feel it. If you do that and prove that we should feel it but don't, then you'll have proved that we're not on a spinning ball flying through space.

File: Moon_LOP.png (722 KB, 900x900)

At every moment there's only one place where the Moon will be directly above your head or zenith. This point is called the sub-lunar point or the Moon's geographical position and the farther away you are from this point the lower in the sky the Moon will appear to you.
Around this point we can draw a circle so that every point on it will be equally distanced from the sub-lunar point and thus every person located on that circle will see the Moon at the same height/elevation above the horizon. This is called a circle of equal altitude.

Now imagine that are moving along this circle while always facing the Moon. How will the Moon appear to you from all the different vantage points? Obviously it will stay at a constant height above the horizon but the cardinal direction will change since you're moving in a circle. At one point the Moon will be to the north while at another point it will be to the east and so forth but it will always have the same elevation angle. But how will the orientation of the Moon change?
If the Earth was flat and the Moon was small and local it would be like moving around a flagpole at a fixed distance while keeping your eye on the ornament on the top. How would that look? We can all agree that you would see different sides of the ornament and that it would appear if front of different background features.
Is this what we observe in reality?

>Is this what we observe in reality?
The answer is of course absolutely not.
It doesn't matter where you are on the circle, the same side of the Moon is always visible and the phase of the Moon will be constant. The background stars will also be the same. Only thing that changes is that the Moon (and the background stars) will seem to rotate around the center. This would be impossible if the Moon was very close to the ground like flat earthers claim.

*I had to increase the apparent size of the Moon by 16 times in this demonstration since the Moon is so small and I wanted a wide view so that we could see the horizon as well.

Functional flat earth models are completely possible, you're just making your own side look bad by lying so blatantly. Or you're just hopelessly misinformed and think you have a nuke argument that nobody can beat. The only reason they ever even bothered changing the model from flat to sphere is because it made it easier for astronomers to compare notes and look at the same stars. They still were perfectly able to calculate which stars they were looking at in a flat earth model, it's just that the sphere model made things simpler. They couldn't give a shit whether or not it's "true", they're just making their jobs easier. Flat earth mathematics exists, it's just complicated. Doesn't make it wrong. It does make you and your ilk look very very stupid though. Which is funny. Kill yourself, globetard.

Simple question: you do know there were incredibly intelligent astronomers before the sphere model was widely adopted, right? That to even come to such a complex astronomical model would require incredible intelligence operating in a flat earth system?
If the flat earth system were entirely incomprehensible, no one would have ever discovered enough about the skies to even posit a globe earth theory.

Gotcha, fucktard. You should shut the fuck up now.

This implies there was a flat model. There wasn't, at least not one with the complexity and accuracy required to classify as a scientific model.
>it made it easier for astronomers to compare notes and look at the same stars. They still were perfectly able to calculate which stars they were looking at in a flat earth model, it's just that the sphere model made things simpler.
Sounds like a whole lot of cope to avoid admitting that the globe model makes more sense.

Yes. And they looked at the sky and realized that what they were seeing was impossible on a flat plane but made perfect sense on a globe.

In ancient Hermetic, Vedic, and esoteric traditions, the human being is viewed as a localized expression of the divine—a micro-torus field intimately connected to the macro-cosmos. If an individual genuinely believes they are an eternal, energetic being interacting with the universe through frequency and intent, they are incredibly difficult to control.

By replacing this with a materialistic narrative—where the universe is an accidental byproduct of a big bang and humans are merely "biological machines" made of random atoms—spiritual sovereignty is broken. It creates a deep, subconscious sense of isolation, insignificance, and existential dread.

A finite, material-only world dictates that when you die, you cease to exist, and that happiness or fulfillment can only be measured by what can be physically accumulated.

The Scarcity Myth: Materialism inherently relies on the concept of finite resources. If energy is not infinite (as Tesla argued regarding the aether) but scarce, then the population can be easily controlled through the pricing and distribution of those resources.

The Spiritual Void: By cutting off a child's understanding of their own energetic biofield or soul, a spiritual void is created. The modern economic matrix is designed to fill that void with external commodities: consumer goods, entertainment, and material status symbols.

Under Hermetic law, human consciousness possesses creative power. If the masses can be convinced that they are powerless observers in a cold, random, and finite universe, they effectively surrender their creative agency. The collective consciousness is dialed into a lower vibrational frequency—fear, survival, and competition—making the population highly malleable and receptive to centralized governance.

Here's a more zoomed in version. Noticed how the Moon and the stars seem to rotate around two separate points. That's caused by parallax since the Moon is so much closer to us than the distant stars.
But if you were to stand right on the sub-lunar point then both points would overlap each other and be directly above your head.

So I imported my image of a lunar eclipse from 2019 and then moved through all the places on Earth where the Moon had the same elevation angle as me at the moment I took the image.

Maybe you'd look less like a desperate faggot clinging to the word refraction like someone holding a cross up to a vampire if you simply explained why exactly refraction was causing that visual effect and were able to reasonably conclude what the conditions (humidity etc.) likely were in the area that day from the distances given. Then people might say actually yeah those details are within a reasonable range, this checks out. However, it seems like perhaps you don't know shit and are incapable of putting your own calculations up to scrutiny. I'm sure the refraction will distort this post though and you'll just keep doing the same ridiculous thing.

Fair enough. Light bends when it moves from one medium to another. Everyone's seen a straw or spoon or whatever in a cub of water bend. The refrective indices of the materials determine the direction and severity of the bend. Temperature affects the refrective index of air, so when you have a temperature gradient such as what usually forms above water or a road on a hot day, that means there's tons of really thin layers of air, all a slight temperature decrease/increase compared to above. Being gradual like this, it also bends light gradually, curving it, instead of instantly like with the straw in a cup. This causes the light to bend downwards over water and pass over the horizon making you see objects whose true position is behind the horizon.

a billiards table pool is a flat rectangle with 15 balls on top of it.
if you attach a bunch of spheres onto your room's ceiling it doesn't make the floor spherical.
the mistake you made in your way of reasoning is make earth the same thing as what you see in the sky, effectively making it a star like others which is an assumption that needs proof on it's own.

Why do we always see the same side of the Moon no matter where we are on Earth? Look at the attached picture. We have a pool table representing the flat Earth and we have a pool ball suspended in the air representing the Moon. Point A and B are both equally distanced from the point on the table that is right below the pool ball and thus they both observe the pool ball at the same elevation angle above the table.
The problem is that they would see completely different sides of the pool ball! Also they would see it in front of different background features in the room.

Imagine yourself as an ant moving around the red circle on the table while always keeping your eye on the pool ball and then look at the video in this post >>42697696

my comment was a criticism of the stupid conclusion:
if things above are a certain shape, therefore earth must also be the same shape.
because this is based on multiple other assumptions that must be verified first before moving forward; namely, that earth is in space and is also kind of the same thing like other "planetoids".
is earth a planet? how can we verify this ?
must earth be the same shape is lights in the sky? why must it?
for your new comment about the face of the moon, that is also based on assumptions that need to be verified correct first. what is the moon? is it really an oblate spheroid ? is it 3D ? is it physical? is it a projection? is it just light?
the same face moon argument would only work if we supposed that it is a 3D phsyical object like your picrel, then, it would make sense that we should be seeing different faces. also, what >>42710700 said.

>stable solar systems would never form
Way to misunderstand what you just explained in the same image. The three body problem just means we don't have an equation to calculate the positions of a system with 3 or more bodies like we can one with 2 bodies. We can't just plug in the current positions and velocities and get their locations at any arbitrary point in the future, but instead we have to actually simulate it step by step. Nothing about it says a system with 3 or more bodies is impossible. This should be evident by looking up and observing a system with 3 or more bodies, but apparently not.

>The Curvature is allegedly near 8 inches per mile. Assuming a distance of 30 miles there should only be 240 inches of the bulding hidden by the curvature
That's not quite how it works. It's a sphere so the curve increases exponentially. It's 8 inches after the first mile, but more than 16 inches after the second.
Of course, this is all ignoring refraction which is what makes it actually visible.

>Nothing about it says a system with 3 or more bodies is impossible.
Hey dummie, may you dont have an advanced STEM degree, but I'll explain what it means.
It means the systems are unstable.
Only special solutions are stable, but the smallest imperfection to the special solution causes the entire system to collapse. That means an asteroid fly-by that alters the perfect gravitional stability will collapse the system.
This is why phyiscists admit the gravitational model of the universe is mathematically unstable.

Imagine tossing a magnetic ball at an iron rod, and have the magnetic ball spin in a stable circuit without crashing. Now imagine doing that with a handful of magnetic balls. That's what instability of the solar system means - you can get a "special case" mathematical solution, but as soon as a real world error to that perfection happens, the entire system collapses.

>>42714610
Proving yourself to have less than highschool level math skills. Sure hope you're not that same guy commenting on physics and solar system stability and refraction in this thread.
8" per mile squared.
So (30 miles x 30 miles)*8" = 600 feet
But more accurate formulas take into accurate the observer eyeheight and elevation data of observer and object.
>>
>Only special solutions are stable
One of those "special" ways is what we see if EVERY SINGLE STAR SYSTEM.
When one body is more than 99% of the mass of the entire system, it becomes trivially easy to calculate regardless of the number of bodies.
Remember - flerfers ALWAYS have to lie.

>Only special solutions are stable, but the smallest imperfection to the special solution causes the entire system to collapse. That means an asteroid fly-by that alters the perfect gravitional stability will collapse the system.
I don't think you understand just how big, empty and slow everything in space is. Say an asteroid flies between the earth and sun and forces the former to start moving towards the latter. Because of how small the asteroid is compared to the earth, the extra velocity towards the sun will be something in the range of centimeters per year. There's a lot of time for another asteroid to cancel it out. And there's millions of asteroid flying around the solar system in a random pattern. Statisically, their effects average out to zero.
>Imagine tossing a magnetic ball at an iron rod, and have the magnetic ball spin in a stable circuit without crashing. Now imagine doing that with a handful of magnetic balls
Now put those magnetic balls in space and spread them miles apart and you'll have something approaching a fraction of how big the relative distances in space are. Also, instead of throwing them there randomly, make sure to do it in a structured way that resembles an accretion disc. You'll find that it's absurdly, cosmically unlikely that any of the balls ever hit each other. Statistically, it'll happen at some point if the system is left to spin indefinitely, but that's not how the universe works. The sun will go supernova long before that.
>you can get a "special case" mathematical solution, but as soon as a real world error to that perfection happens, the entire system collapses.
You still don't understant the scales. The special case would have to be something on the scale of a solar system passing directly through another one to have any significant chance of fucking it up, and that's about as likely as 2 people throwing darts at each other from 100 meters away and the darts hitting each other mid air.

Take another look at the special solutions to multi-body gravitational systems.
Then tell me what the special solution is for the 10 billion asteroids and planets and the Jupiter perturbations.

>Now put those magnetic balls in space and spread them miles apart and you'll have something approaching a fraction of how big the relative distances in space are
You really don't get it.
The math shows that 99.99999% of the time two magnetic balls that are attracted to eachother but moving with chaotic initial starting conditions will either (1) fly away from eachother or (2) smash into eachother. Only <0.000001% of the time does a stable condition occur, but as soon as a gravitationally large object flys by the special condition is destroyed and the orbit collapses.

The math for 3 or more gravitational bodies only works for special conditions, and the special conditions are extremely fragile (only existing as mathematical points rather than as a zone of stability) so that fly-by gravitational masses cause orbital collapse.

these old maps such as the piri reis map, were put together with multiple ancient maps from before the ice was there, its only in recent times with satellites and ground penetrating radar that they realised how accurate they are.

theres also a 1000 year old map of the flat earth found in a japanese budhist temple that was posted in the hawaiian gazette in the early 1900's, i compared that map too a military airforce map from the 1950's and saw the 1000 year old map showing the same flat earth layout a well as madagascar still connected to africa.

not sure about the dome but admiral richard byrd said on a tv show (Longines Chronoscope, 20min video) that the north pole is at the centre of an ocean 10,000ft deep, the south pole sits atop a plateau 10,000ft high, sometimes up to 13,000 feet, he said a lot of stuff he clearly shouldnt have, it was quite the redpill, especially if you pair it with his supposed diary, and operation high jump.

in the video he talks about the world continuing to shrink with an increasing acceleration and bringing places closer together.

not sure if this is a metaphor for how easier travel will become in the future, or if he literally means the dome is shrinking, its like that episode of stargate sg1.

the continents on the flat earth map the beyond the ice wall usually show their sun/moon is dead or burned out, is the world actually shrinking, are we fucked?

Holy shit you are one retarded fucking nigger. The slop generator you had to ask because you don't have the ability to do basic fucking math yourself literally told you that having such a small angular resolution would make it appear as a point source and you think this means the light from it would just magically disappear. "Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." - Richard Lewontin, Harvard genetecist and evolutionary biologist

"Science, fundamentally, is a game... with one overriding and defining rule: ...Let us see how far and to what extent we can explain the behavior of the physical and material universe in terms of purely physical and material causes, without invoking the supernatural." - Richard Dickerson (Biochemist)
>>
Having identified what science (se-ance) is, let us see what the great men of the science have to say about the structure of the universe. For surely that can’t have been formulated on purely philosophical grounds! Oh.

“What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that..This assumption is made because it is believed to be unreasonable that we should be near the center of the Universe." George Ellis, Emiratis Professor of Mathematics, writing in Scientific American

“In the effort to explain the Michelson-Morley experiment ...the thought was advanced that the Earth might be stationary...Such an idea was not considered seriously, since it would mean in effect that our Earth occupied the omnipotent position in the universe, with all the other heavenly bodies paying homage by revolving around it.'
Arthur S. Otis, Light Velocity and Relativity

"If the redshifts are a Doppler shifts...the observations as they stand lead to the anomaly of a closed universe, curiously small and dense, and. it may be added, suspiciously young.”
Edwin Huble, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society

“I can construct you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds. In my view there is absolutely nothing wrong in that. What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that… This assumption is made because it is believed to be unreasonable that we should be near the center of the Universe." quoting george ellis is hilarious since you clearly dont understand the context

yes a geocentric model is perfectly acceptable and will yield accurate results just as well as a heliocentric model. choosing either functional model is a matter of philosophy

this of course has nothing to do with flat earth, since there is no flat earth model, and certainly not a functional one.

So that’s how you spell Antarctica? -> Terra Australis. Because that is exactly how it appears on the map.

I have to admit, this drawing looks very similar to an ice-free Antarctica, and there is a very old map by Piri Reis that has to be classified as an "out-of-place artifact."https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out-of-place_artifact

Sure - you are the one that used to suggest people use radios in vans and drive away from each other, yes?
I think you get a lot of "you can get signal much further than you should be able to" because they want to ignore bouncing off the ionosphere, but I agree it is an excellent method to detect the curve if done with sincere people.
One way to defeat that counter is to also get directional detection to see where the signal comes from, but that starts getting into tech too expensive/complex for the average flerfer.
> it uses math
I dont think so. the most math it uses is figuring out what the angles are, and noticing that the angles get acute more rapidly on a sphere than they do on a plane.
Or they can just make a picture of all the lines of sight and see which one has them all pointing in the same direction - but that would take an even GREATER area of sighting.
>>
>>42752547
in the pic with the chopper, assuming its flying at 30,000ft it would put the wall at around 10,000ft, assuming its flying at 15,000ft the wall is around 5,000ft,

in the pic with the plane wing it show the wall, but looks like solid ground at the base rather than sea, so there could be a 5,000ft ice wall then another wall further back.

either one would align with what admiral byrd said.

as for whats beyond, there was a video of a guy that would paint galaxy/stars/planets for nasa, and some and he got some info from some people in the know.

it goes on for some time, eventually you lose GPS, and if you dont die you will reach the edge of the dome, some of the A-bomb tests were from trying to blast a hole in it.

theres also a greentext thread where a guy claimed to travel with a convoy across the ice to end up here in a mirrored version of his earth.

also can anyone use Ai to guage the height of the wall compared to the size of the chopper?

i said assuming.

for a start turbine military/performance choppers can fly at 30-40,000ft, you wouldnt be flying your everyday chopper in an antarctic environment.

also weather, altitude/air density plays a part.
>>
>>42759359
>i said assuming.
Yes, it was very retarded.
>turbine military/performance choppers can fly at 30-40,000ft
Which one is that, in the picture? Which military models are you talking about that fly at those elevations?
>also weather, altitude/air density plays a part.
No, the fact the the vast vast majority of helicopters arent pressurized plays a much bigger factor. Even those that are have top elevations of around 15,000ft.
Where density plays a part is that fact that unless you have specialized rotors, the air itself isnt thick enough to generate the needed lift.
