They will demand you to be killed. Why am I saying all of this? because deep down people are fine with the status quo. People are fine with how things are. Like, the facility that the system brings has more influence than the lies that the system tells them. Deep down, they know that they are being lied to and screwed and shit, however because we have things like eletricity, the internet, television, video game, tits bar, etc, people don't mind. People get absorbed in the distractions that modern life provides. We don't need to kill animals to get food, we just go to the supermarket. Technology enables the powerful to control the people. Because people got used to easier way of life they are trapped in the cities and the system. Plus, it is hard for people to leave the system because all the land is owned.
