>>42716321Dark energy has been effectively disproven. Check out “timescape cosmology”, the gist is the old method of calculating inflation assumed a flat spacetime. But we know gravity exists and bodies exert it on spacetime, so it’s not flat. Assuming it was flat was just for convenience. But now we have computers and better methods for calculating inflation based on a bumpy universe with lots of blobs of matter. This method of calculating almost completely eliminates the need for an accelerating inflationary force like dark energy. Further refinements to the calculations will probably eliminate it entirely. Dark matter on the other hand is probably real. Dark matter is a form a very low energy matter with a huge wavelength. A single dark matter “particle” is actually a giant cloud of extremely disparate mass-energy at or near the bottom range of stability. These are all over the place and in fact were sitting inside them right now, but they interact with normal matter very weakly so it’s difficult to detect them outside of their large scale gravitational influence.I guess that wasn’t really the gist more of a full explanation but there you go.
