>Anyone here in 2026

Alright what is this? So many videos on YouTube have this as the top comment.. from the rarest of rare videos from 15 years ago.. any song I look up no matter how obscure.. it's all infested with this mind numbing retardation.

>Anyone here in 2026

What the actual fuck is this?
>>
Hivemind probably. Have noticed this shit as well.

It depends. Obviously the popular music videos will still get a lot of views as time goes on no matter how many years in the future we are. But if it’s some random old video with 99% of views from the week it was posted and now you’re viewing it ten years later it’s nice knowing someone else watched it in 2026 as well.

There are 3 reasons:
1. Bots
2. Attention seekers (some people get their kicks from likes)
3. People simply trying to check if other people still watch this older video in 2026.

Appreciate your responses but never ever have I witnessed such lackluster and soulless comments being regarded as 'top' or most relevant.. if it's bots what's the point? It takes away any meaningful or relevant discussion on the media being viewed.

When i do rarely cruise YouTube nowadays and find a video with "comments disabled" I breathe a fresh air of relief.

Gone are the days aren't they.. when it's not self absorbed egotism in the comments.

"My mum had cancer"
"My brother died in car crash this his last song"
"My dog lost his toe"
"I'm 65 years old blah blah"
"My my my me me me"

It really does seem like open decent discussion is dead and gone. The internet a place once so amazing has been ground down to bots, likes and attention seeking.

A crying fucking shame.
