I did what you are seeking. I went down a 20 year path starting in college that lead me away from my passion in life and into business related fields. I tried everything to become who I thought id want to be but there was always this feeling i didnt belong and I projected it onto others around me that I didnt belong. After going on sr and cutting certain other behaviors out of my life I had these sudden bursts of clarity that drove me to drop everything id become and reorient my life, one step at a time back towards the life I truly wanted.

First was quitting the "good" job I didnt really want or belong at.

Second was trading the car I though was "cool" in for the vehicle that suited my lifestyle I wanted.

Third was hunting down all the opportunities that were in the field I did want to be in. I walked in with no real experience to speak of and showed enough interest to get my foot in the door

In about 3 months I've completely reoriented my life and while I'm much older now I have the beginnings of the life I want. SR definitely helped with this.

If you are persistent and patient enough the opportunities for the things you want will manifest, but the window of opportunity for many does not stay open long so decide what you want and say yes when they present themselves.
