Recently 'something' has been censoring my dreams and pulling me out unwillingly... Everything rated R in my dreams is being blocked or outright cancelled... Its kind of frustrating... Blood,Gore,Violence,Guns... Anytime any of them appear in my dreams I'm forced awake... There's a few second delay as if whatever is causing it needs to recognize it first...Now never having nightmares again is whatever... BUT whatever is doing this is also blocking out wet dreams as well... EVERYTIME things get hot and steamy in a dream I'm pulled back out... I've been experimenting when I get the chance lucid dreaming, I can somewhat trip up the system by pretending to be avoidant and disgusted by inappropriate subjects but the second I show any interest or make a move to touch anything Im jerked away...Seriously what kind of thing can even do this to a person? I'm 22 years old and being childlike out of my own subconscious... This is embarrassing. Anyone know any info on what's causing this... or even a fix to whatever this is... I'd be much appreciated
>>42744370You're being interfered with. It's not a "what", but a "who". I do not know the party responsible nor will I try to know, I'm not about to kick off a turf war earlier than planned. What I can share is that the presence around you is not hostile, it's protective. There's some reason you should not interface with those experiences, and the best I can offer to why is that the read i'm getting on you: "delayed gratification".
I also once tried harming a dog in a dream and something turned it into a ball-dog instead of a harmed dog. Something protected that dog.
>>42744425I don't know enough about dream entities and things like that... I come from a academic psychology background.Frankly this is so out of my field of knowledge that I'm turning here to find answers... I figure 80% of this board is slop but you can find some real insight amidst the mountain of esoteric nonsense...I believe dream entities are moreso manifestations of subconscious desires, normally that would be the case however, I can confidently say that I do not have the desire to become an ascetic monk so clearly this in not that...Ill take what you got to say... Cause frankly I'm stumped>>42744441Like a ball with a dog design? or a dog shaped ball?
>>42744370I get wet dreams all the time>>42744441about raping dogswish I could just have empty sleep with no dreams/nightmares ever again, oh man
>>42744491are you bragging?
>>42744474Fascinating! Your perspective may be interesting then. Have you ever encountered a dream entity that stood out in some way? Acted with an agency that felt distinct, or gave unexpected information? Due to the nature of dreams, analyzing entities solely on behavior or appearance are insufficient for determining their source. A lot of it has to go on feeling because the perceptive faculties available to an individual are geared up in dreams/alternate awareness states.
>>42744514There is one interesting reoccurring figure... It's a bit hard to explain but it's like another voice coming from my body... It's distinctly not my own to the point in which I converse with it a few times... but it is very much coming from my mouth.Their personality is actually really abrasive, their an asshole to everyone except me... Another weird thing is that they don't consider us to be two beings, they frequently use We/Us/Our instead of I/Me/Mine.. I think its far more aware then I am...They're never confused about anything and I always seem to be playing catchup...OK... So something I should mention is that I do think in 2nd person... Its called Jouska, Its conversational thought. Alot of people have this same thought pattern, Its not unusual I think Almost everyone has experienced doing it a little but for me and a percentage of others its like the main modus of internal processing. I bring that up cause it feels as though that hypothetical person I speak to when I think may not be hypothetical in the unconscious.
>>42744562Indeed, you have said something interesting.I do the same, fun to learn a new term, but i don't draw a distinction between me and the 2nd person perspective since it's still me, it's just a different lens through which consciousness can shine while remaining within the context of my experiences and habits. I believe there is a practical advantage to it, that being the ability to route consciousness around the identity and avoided biases.>I bring that up cause it feels as though that hypothetical person I speak to when I think may not be hypothetical in the unconscious.Nothing conscious is hypothetical.Would you be willing to meet with me in a lucid dream? I understand that your beliefs may not support the possibility of such a thing happening, but perhaps it could be an opportunity to experience something new and so you'd be willing to try it.
>>42744976Sure If you can find me The door open.going to sleep soon Ill try my usual techniques for lucid dreams but its 50/50

I remember feeling something similar not long ago as I was dozing off. Like my entire flow of consciousness was deliberately being cut off mid stream or redirected. Of course I can't remember what it was about now
>>42745037i suggest a known place instead of me dropping into your dreams, don't want to step on any toes. How about Ayer's Rock?
>>42748582I'll be there at tree fiddy
